Download is not working and showing Invalid File Type Error

After updating the download manager plugin to version 3.1.24, the download is not working and showing the error as an Invalid file type. I have tried deactivating and reactivating again, Checked for the plugin conflicts issue by disabling all other plugins and themes but it is still showing the same error. We are uploading .exe files and in the Settings ->Basic settings -> Upload settings -> Allowed file types have added .exe extension name there but it is still showing the same error.

Please advise how we can fix this issue

Hope you are well.
First of all, please update your copy to the latest version which is right now 3.2.18.
If it doesn’t work, then please provide us with your temporary wp-admin login details and site URL in a private reply for checking the issue.
Also, please share the related page/file/package URL with us where the issue exists.
