Delete button doesn't appear to work

Clicking on the Delete button in the ‘Upload File from PC’ section does not appear to work.

I wanted to upload a new version of a file to a package. I clicked on Delete, then browsed for the new version of the file (same name). When I update the package I discovered the file name now had a series of digits appended to it. When I looked in wp-contents/uploads/download-manager-files I can see both the original file and the one with the appended digits.

With Version 2.3.0 clicking on the delete button clears the file name from the port – but doesn’t delete the file itself, which I assumed it would do. This means that to do housekeeping and remove files I don’t need anymore I have to go in and remove it manually. Ok for me but don’t want our admin folks doing that! What SHOULD it do?
