Dashboard vertical toolbar icon confilct

I have the vertical toolbar (left edge) set to narrow, and the Download Manager icon is positioned such that I can not click the button (white circle with black right-pointing triangle) to re-expand the toolbar. I’m running WP 3.8 and your latest version. The current position makes it nearly impossible to get back to the wide toolbar as any click in that area takes you to DLM.
