Clicking "Download" pulls up a wall of text - WordPress Download Manager

So I’m having the same issue as this post, on my website.

If you click the download link, you will see a wall of text. I’ve tried disabling resumable downloads and the download buffer, but neither work.

Any ideas on what to try next?

The issue is not same. Seems like installation is wrong. Please try removing and instating again.
Or provide me your temp login info using private reply to check the issue.

It seems like I am having the same type of issue when clicking on download bing up a lot of “jiberish” :

I have deleted and re-installed the extension twice and get the same result…

@PierreGESLiN this may occur due to other plugin conflict, please try deactivating other plugins. Or provide me your temp login info using private reply to check the issue.

This error is due to other plugin “Smart Icons For WordPress”. On deactivating its working perfectly.
