I want my page to have an image, a title, and have a pdf icon that opens a new window with the pdf already loaded. What I currently have is most of that but instead of opening directly to the file the icon leads to the “download details” page within the same window.

How do I change that? Here is what I have already:

code i have that isnt what I want

which leads me here

And here are two things I think should work but for some reason, it doesn’t:

my attempt at altering that code

which I want to lead me here, but instead it sends me to an error page

As well as this code: this code

which produces this: not good not what I want

Can I get an icon to show up and the download manager to fill in the file with just good old code? or do I have to use those “Template Variables?”
How do I make my [icon] lead to straight to the download, like the [download] link does? For my site, the download details page does not make sense.

Please try this <a class="pull-left" href="[download_url]" target="_blank">[icon]</a>
