@Farneto.lab, I’ve tetsted in your installation. I found /upload/download-manager-files/ dir was missing, I’ve deactivated and reactivated the plugin, the process created the dir automatically, finally, I tested Il danno alla professionalità uploading a new file and it is working fine now.

Sorry, for your trouble.
Seems like its not WPDM issue. Your normal post also cant access any images.
This issue is most commonly caused by wrong file permissions. Your uploads directory should have correct file permissions otherwise WordPress will not be able to store your files in it or sometimes may not even display files from the upload directory. To set correct file permissions for your uploads directory, you would need a FTP client, like Filezilla.

I even changed all folder and file permissions to 777 just to test it out. WPDM still gave me the same error.

PLEASE HELP.
