Attach Directory Doesn’t Work With Bulk Import

Whenever I use the Bulk Import with a CSV file and use the package_dir column to enter the server location it does not work when the package is uploaded. The directory is listed on the product page but upon previewing the page there are no files from the directory unless I manually browse the directory browser on the product page and enter it myself then save.

To recap: using the bulk import CSV file with package_dir column the result is a package created that does not actually point to anything. I am not sure if this is an issue with the plugin itself or the CVS file itself but I formatted everything correctly in the CSV file.

Hello, HappyHelper

I hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Could you please tell me if you are using the Pro or free version of the download manager?

In the free version, there is no option to attach a directory.

Kindly try using this sample csv file. This should work.

That is just the default csv. I made mine following that. I just took out colomns I didnt need to keep those fields default. The problem is the package_dir colomn. When I upload a file using it the Attach Dir field shows the text but it doesnt actually connect to the location and pull files. I have to manually browse using Attach Dir and save the package and then it works.

So the problem isnt uploading since the packages are created and the attach dir correctly displays the folder location on the server…however it does not actually link to that location unless i manually re-enter it and save.

I uploaded a demo file called “test.txt” and uploaded it to the attach directory root in a folder called “test”. please try pointing at it manually with a new product and you’ll see it works if you preview the page. it lists the file you can download.

Then try using the .csv file to point to it using the package_dir. you will see the text will show correctly on the site but it will not pull any files.
