In the free version what mean Access contro limited ?

i try to set download only for register people but everyone can download file . In the free version can I only set a password ?

Do I need the full version?

If you want to set download only for registered users, you need to remove “All Visitors” from access field and select other roles you want to allow access, you also need to remove “All Visitors” from any selected categories. The feature is explained here:
