Hi – when users on Windows PC’s download files there is a folder called _MACOSX included with each download. The folder only seems to appear on Windows PC’s and does not appear on Macs. The user who created the site and prepared the file uploads is using a Mac – not sure if that is related. Would lie to know if there is a way to remove the _MACOSX folder from Windows downloads.

Hi Humayon – thanks for getting back to me. After some further research I think I have figured out the source of the problem. The _MACOSX folder is being created when .exe files are being zipped on a Mac prior to upload and I think I have figured out how to strip them out. Please feel free to go ahead and close the ticket – will let you know if I run into any further issues. Thanks!

Hi @roddyferal-agency,
Yes, exactly whenever you made a zip in MACOSX it will add _MACOSX which will not show in MACOSX but however it will show in the windows or other OS platforms because _MACOSX is not supported on them.
Also, you can check this article in order to bypass it.
However, If you found my support helpful, could you leave your valuable review here?
Your rating keeps us inspired ❤️
With Regards
