Hi I have just recently downloaded your plugin to test it and I have got the following error:
500 – Internal Server Error
If you are the webmaster of this site please log in to Cpanel and check the Error Logs. You will find the exact reason for this error there.
Common reasons for this error are:
Incorrect file/directory permissions: Above 755.
In order files to be processed by the webserver, their permissions have to be equal or below 755. You can update file permissions with a FTP client or through cPanel’s File Manager.
Incorrect Apache directives inside .htaccess file.
Make sure you have not specified unsupported directives inside the local .htaccess file. Such include PHP settings and Apache module settings.

So I contacted my web hosting provider to see if its an issue on their end and they have said:
It has the highest available memory_limit set on 768MB as well ( not sure if that would require higher than 768mb memory_limit)
I checked the error log in the cPanel and cannot see any logs so that would not be related to htaccess or permissions here
the website is using php v 7.3
I’m using a page builder called thrive architect if that helps. All of my plugins etc are up to date.
Webpage with the error:
screen shot of settings
Thanks
Hi,
Please send me temporary wp-admin login info in a private reply to check your issue in detail.
You can’t use same page shortcode in the page content like this:
What do you mean by this? I wasn’t using the shortcode on the same page as the download page. I want to be able to use the shortcode in some pages for a course I’m going to be creating. How can I do this?
Thanks
Okay, may you please tell me why did you put the shortcode [wpdm_package id='1405']
in the page content?

I did it in a random page just to tell if it will work using a page builder called thrive architect in a WordPress content block.
I did it purely to test it as I will be placing in a part of a course soon if it works.
Why doesn’t it work, why is there a shortcode if I can’t use it in a page?
Thanks
The shortcode is generated from that file/download, you actually don’t need to put it there at all, however, the shortcode is necessary, when you want to show the file/download to somewhere else, like in another page or post.
If that is the case why was it crashing, causing the 500 error on the page before, I’m concerned of putting the shortcode in one of my courses in case it causes the 500 error again.
okay, no worry, we shall adjust it with the next update.
So can I not use the short code in the page in my courses then I still don’t understand the purpose of the shortcode if it doesn’t work or can’t be used in a page?
When will the next update be as I need to use it very soon
You can use shortcodes in any pages except in the file description.
I have used in areas that aren’t the files description and it causes the 500 error,
I originally put the shortcode in here
which was causing the 500 error, one of you fixed it but it now isn’t appearing when I visit the page.
I can only see the download when I go to edit the page in thrive architect
There it should work fine, if not, then it could be an issue. with your theme or another active plugin.
It appears to be working now for some reason thanks for your help
