hello, I’m having a similar issue I just upgraded to wp 3.6.1, that was successful, but when I did other updates that crashed my entire website. I still have access to my FTP, so please let know what I should modify in the wpdm-mce-button.php to fix this. I have a heavy traffic site http://sunnahpublishing.net and need to get it up and running again fast.

When downloading an individual file in a package protected with email lock, a txt-file (invalid-link.txt) is downloaded. It sais : Download link is expired or not valid. Please get new download link.
cache is set to 777
I deleted the //$extralock … in functions.php (this was mentioned in other posts)
.htacces is set up for permalink
… what else could this be ?
trying to download the whole package gives : fatal error ‘ziparchive’…..
removing the email lock makes an individual download possible. The package download remains in error.

not sure exactly, anyhow the error is not from plugin, but send a temporary wp-admin login info to support@wpdownloadmanager.com, support team will check this.
i didn’t have any issues with the free version and no problems until I upgraded to Pro… I’m not sure how it is the theme… any advice?

Ok, I was changing the access level for a category and now WPDM is giving me fatal errors.
I can see the files and all seems fine from the Dashboard side… but get a fatal error when attempting to download.

I don’t have any wpdm add-ons and I have the same problem.
I followed the steps outlined to upgrade from 3.3.5 to 3.3.8 and now I get the following when I launch my site at gotdedupe.com

I’ve downloaded the new versions, and the default template now uses a different size image, with the feature image above the link and description. Previously, it was using the icon sized images, and even though that’s still the template we have selected, it’s not displaying that, and we had to downgrade the add-on version back to 1.6.0 again.
But downgrading the add-on caused a fatal error for the website, so I had to downgrade back to v3.3.5 of the main plugin too. Is there a way to fix this at all? I’d love to be able to play with and fix this myself, but the license won’t let me install it on a test site to see if I can make the changes we want without messing up our production site.
We’ve also always had to use our own preview images, since the default icons provided never seemed to work. Could that be part of the problem as well?

should desactive all the DM plugins then update to 3.3.8 and in a second time re activate all the others plugins

you have to write it on your upgrade guide… ๐
before deactivating wpdm pro, please deactivate all of its add-ons to skip such issue.
