Hi Nora, as we don’t seem to be getting any support on this. Lets just compare versions.

I have managed to upload a file to S3 from within the Amazon S3 menu in WPDM (not on adding a package screen). I think this was after I updated the CORS policy on the bucket to include my domain and also update the Allowed Methods to:
    <AllowedMethod>PUT</AllowedMethod>
    <AllowedMethod>POST</AllowedMethod>
    <AllowedMethod>DELETE</AllowedMethod>

This is what I can’t do though:
    – I can create a new folder, but cannot upload a file to it
    – I can’t delete files
    – I can’t upload from within the Add Package screen.

When I do, I get this PHP error:
AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Aws\\S3\\Exception\\PermanentRedirectException: AWS Error Code: PermanentRedirect, Status Code: 301, AWS Request ID: 003187C57BB932C0, AWS Error Type: client, AWS Error Message: The bucket you are attempting to access must be addressed using the specified endpoint. Please send all future requests to this endpoint: “mybucketname.s3.amazonaws.com”…

I think this is perhaps related to region – my bucket is Ireland. When I set it to US standard, I don’t get this error, although I can’t upload files there.

Is there anything further that you can help me with?

    “Fatal Error

When commenting that facebookconnect file, I get: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare google_api_php_client_autoload() (previously declared in /wp-content/plugins/google-analytics-async/google-analytics-async-files/externals/google/autoload.php:18) in /wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/socialconnect/Google/autoload.php on line 33

I had Download Manager Pro v4.5.6 working on my web site , but when I updated to v4.6.0, it will not activate due to fatal error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in **directory-path**/wp-content/plugins/download- manager/libs/socialconnect/facebookconnect.php on line 14

where **directory-path** <– I removed the unique portion of the directory path for security reasons.

    My site is running on:

    Apache: 2.2.26
    PHP Version: 5.3.28
    MySQL: 5.1.73-cll

    Please advise.

regarding fatal error, WPML say this:

Until this point, WPML works great.

Now what happens next is in

    /plugins/download-manager/tpls/wpdm-be-member.php

    line number 81 is calling

    get_permalink(get_option('__wpdm_user_dashboard'));

Which is throwing the FATAL error

    '__wpdm_user_dashboard' return 0

and thus throwing a fatal error.

    Hi Shariar,

    OK thanks

    1. Regarding the fatal error on the page for the shortcodes, I think I agree that it is a problem with WPML. I have raised it with them, and will come back if they have any questions.

    See info here: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/fatal-error-79/page/2/#post-1114426

    2. Document page is working now, you can check this please?

I am in the same situation: CentOS 6, PHP 5.3.3 (which is the “latest” release from the standard CentOS 6 repos) and just upgraded WPDM from 4.5.6 to 4.6.0 with the same error message as the original poster. We take automatic backups before each update, so it was easy to roll back to 4.5.6 to get downloads to work again.

According to another thread today (“Fatal error activating the plugin”), the minimum version of PHP required is “5.3”, so the standard PHP with CentOS 6 should work OK, but it clearly doesn’t. It does feel like some post-PHP 5.3 code has snuck into the 4.6.0 release, but I can’t be sure.

At the moment, we’re holding back updates beyond 4.5.6, but this is only a temporary measure. I need to know if I have to upgrade PHP or not (there’s an IUS repo that would do the trick) – I’m reluctant to do so when all the other dozens of plugins we have installed across various sites are all fine with PHP 5.3.3.

I’ve tried to update to this long awaited fix version 4.6.0 and having deactivated and deleted the v4.5.6 plugin, the v4.6.0 will now not activate!!!

    Getting this error:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in /home/*******/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/socialconnect/facebookconnect.php on line 14

I have now lost ALL my downloading capabilities on my website – are you guys for real!?!

Please give me a fix ASAP.

Please send your php error log ( mail it to support email ). The page has not been loaded fully. There is fatal error there. Checking error log will show us the origin of this issue.

Hi, There was an overlapping function. I renamed the one in Download Manager ( this is a function for testing purpose , no need to worry ). It shouldn’t create any fatal error now. Thanks.

We spoke to WPML they removed the WPML error message. But the problem is definitely with WPDM customisation. You can see the pages now.

    Here is their information,

    https://wpml.org/forums/topic/fatal-error-79/page/2/#post-1102993

I hope you will reply today. 6 months now and still this is not working correctly.

I have a multisite installation and wish to use the plugin NS CLONER to clone sites.

There is a conflict with your plugin that I cannot understand how to resolve.

If I de-activate the NS Cloner plugin, everything works fine (both installing your plugin works and using the installed plugin works)

If I activate NS CLONE however, I cannot install your plugin.

And if I de-activate NS CLONER so that I can install your plugin and then, later, once your plugin is working, re-activate NS CLONER, the Download Manager plugin throws errors. E.g., this error happens when I clicked the USERS option in my dashboard for the sub-site:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare dd() (previously declared in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/www.nexuscommunity.co.za/wp-content/plugins/ns-cloner-site-copier/lib/kint/Kint.class.php:562) in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/www.nexuscommunity.co.za/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/wpdm-functions.php on line 1772

I will send site details in a separate message.

    Please advise! Thanks.

    Hello

I followed instructions to update to the latest version of Download Manager but got the following when activating in the plugin page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wpdm_common_actions() in /home/reportau/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 95

I can see that all the files uploaded OK.

    Thanks

    Hi team,

I’m supposed to launch http://rebeccak.co.nz in 24hs and while using Download Manager Pro should be a breeze it has proven to be a challenge. I must have a plugin (in this case Press Permit Core) to block “submit property” and “my property list” pages/menus that can be seen under the User Account menu by a logged subscriber. We cannot have users submitting properties to the system.

The plugin works fine, except that now I have a mega conflict with Download Manager Pro which I need to be resolved. With DMP plugin activated, when I try to ad/edit a page or package I get different errors.

At the moment there’s no Visual Builder, no text editor, screen options popdown is locked and etc…Screenshot here http://awesomescreenshot.com/01c5ws4k54

    Earlier today I had error messages like; Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘PP_Ancestry’ not found in /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-content/plugins/press-permit-core/hardway/hardway_pp.php:375 Stack trace: #0 /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-content/plugins/press-permit-core/pp_main.php(139): PP_Hardway::flt_get_pages(Array, Array) #1 /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php(235): PP->flt_get_pages(Array, Array) #2 /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-includes/post.php(4752): apply_filters(‘get_pages’, Array, Array) #3 /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-includes/post-template.php(1056): get_pages(Array) #4 /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-admin/includes/meta-boxes.php(811): wp_dropdown_pages(Array) #5 /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-admin/includes/template.php(1037): page_attributes_meta_box(Object(WP_Post), Array) #6 /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-admin/edit-form-advanced.php(686): do_meta_boxes(Object(WP_Screen), ‘side’, Object(WP_Post)) #7 /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-admin/post-new.php(85): include(‘/home/MYUSER/…’) #8 {main} thrown in /home/MYUSER/public_html/wp-content/plugins/press-permit-core/hardway/hardway_pp.php on line 375

And even crazier errors like the one on the attached screenshot. Sorry if info is a bit crazy, it’s just a reflection of today’s experience…

Please let me know if you need Admin access and I’ll setup for you asap.

    Thanks,
    Andre

    Hi, WPDM team,
Yesterday I renewed my PRO Version and followed these steps:
1.deactivated and deleted old version 4.3.0
    2.uploaded version 4.5.5
When I tried to activate I got the massage in the attached image.

    Could you help me?
    Thank you,
    Adriano

PS.: I reinstalled 4.3.0 version but now the license is not recognized.
