Thank you very much @Shahjada! You saved me! and you are right, it works now after I clear the browser caches.
So I reckon this issue happens to any device which has opened that link before? OR any device which has visited the website domain and has the old caches? because I want to send this link to all of my clients. Would they be affected if they have visited my website before?
You mentioned “Alternatively, you can use “Unmask Download Link” option, then download links will work regardless of the browser cache”. I can see this option in the Setting. However, the option also notices me that “If you unmask download link, bots will be able the find any public download link easily” ► I reckon there would be a risk?

@jpo, there is no issue with download link actually, in the last update we have changed js file front.js, removed some inline js code to front.js. So, for some users, the front.js is serving from the old cache, that’s what making download link irresponsive. Please try clearing the browser and server cache.

@angle95, Download button is working fine for me, on your side, it is happening due to browser cache.
Please try clearing the browser cache. Alternatively, you can use “Unmask Download Link” option, then download links will work regardless of the browser cache.

You can do it by applying to allow access options to the particular package. And from the
Downloads > Settings > Basic, you can doAccess Settings ► When user is not allowed to download ► Only Block Download Link. Thus only given access members can download the file.Thanks.
We have a download file link set up on our site. The Name and Email fields both work on the site but then the name field isn’t updated on the admin dashboard. Looks like it stopped working on June 22, 2020. How can this glitch be fixed?

I’m having the same issues with all desktop browsers. The download links worked before the latest update (3.1.02) when the link masking was turned on. I have turned off the link masking and now the downloads work. Will you fix the issue in the next update so we can go back to masking the links?

you can follow the link below documentation,
by default, you are usinglink-template-default.phpfor link template andpage-template-default.phpfor the page template. As documentation, you have to copy the file in the theme directory naming a folder called download-manager, then paste it inpage-templatesfor page template orlink-templatesfor link template. And you have to replace[download_link]with<a href="[download_url]" class="btn btn-primary" target="_blank">[link_label]</a>in related PHP file.Thanks.

Without the download page template and link template(shortcode page), it won’t be downloaded anywhere without pressing/clicking the download button

These both should be worked. Button templates designed specifically for button templates, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-button-templates/ and shortcode for link templates. please update to the latest version and clear the cache, if possible, Please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue.

However, unmasking download link will not affect protected download. Protected files are still protected.Version 3.1.02 now has new option to mask/unmask download link which makes them now downloadable even on AMP enabled pages.

No worry, Unmask download link will not affect any behavior of private download links. We shall adjust bootstrap 4 and keep it compatible with Avada, we shall customize bootstrap with wpdm heavily, shall keep only the part need with wpdm.

Dear Shahjada, now everything is fine. But unmasking private download links can now be found by google?
One last thing, I was worried that in the future it will no longer be compatible with Avada theme due to the Bootstrap 4 …

It is happening due to the js cache. Please try cleating the cache. Alternatively, in the latest update 3.1.02, we have added an option to unmask the download link, that option will resolve the issue regardless of the js cache.

Updated to 5.1.14.
Bootstrap 4 were already in use.
Cache cleared on Chrome.That does NOT had solved the problem .
Unmasking the download link SOLVED my immediate problem since my files can be seen only by loggedin users.
BTW: Italian translation of the unmask link option titles are completely wrong. I suggest to change it to:
OPTION TITLES: Link di download mascherato / Link di download pubblico

Please update to WPDM v5.1.14. Also, if you are using Bootstrap 3 UI in WPDM UI setting, please select Bootstrap 4, bs 3 will be dropped soon and we are not maintaining it anymore. Finally, clear all cache. That should resolve the issue. Also, you may unmask download link from WPDM settings to resolve the issue:
