Please ignore this post. Activating “Disable Frontend JS” did it for me as I am having the exact same issue on my website. Thanks.
Interesting. I am using version 6.0.3 but WordPress is not offering any updates. I wonder why?
I’m very irritated.
The relevant folders you mention do not exist. When I click on the directory download-manager I only get three folders:
assets
languages
src
Where do I have to put the template link-template-default-old.php
?
I‘ll try and feedback.
But why is this happening with every update? It is very annoying because the templates were all there. Please change this because updating the download manager has become a nuisance.
Thanks.
Thanks. Yes, I can see that the tree is back now.
But many other pages don’t work anymore…. why is this happening?
Please check https://gymnasium-brake.info/personen/schulleitung/ – there were two downloads on the right side… now it says “link-template-default-old.php”
Note please: As I have just uploaded the “default-old” template again, everything is back in order. The link to my website won’t show the problem.
Yep, same here. It is very annoying.
Dear Nayeem,
I am starting to get very frustrated with WP Download Manager.
I have tried updating the plugin. First, the update process fails again until you manually go into the settings – license menu and press save there. Why is this still necessary? My license code is already there and it is and has been correct. Other user have already pointed this out. It is a real problem: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/update-issue-continue/
Then again, my templates have been “reset” (for lack of a better word), the “link-template-default-old” template has yet again changed to a look that I do not want (feel free to check https://gymnasium-brake.info/schule-in-corona-zeiten-alle-informationen-im-schuljahr-2020-2021/#69d8b1c354be80dc8)
Why is this happening over and over again ? It is just annoying and a waste of time. Do I have to do this with every update of the plugin from now on?
Please can you solve this otherwise I have to look at other options.
Many thanks
Oliver
Thanks. Problem solved. Still, I am not sure how this has happened in the first place.
Regards
IS it this code?
`<!– WPDM Link Template: Default Template ( Old ) –>
<div class=”wpdm-link-template link-template-default” >
<div class=”media”>
<div class=”mr-3″>[icon]</div>
<div class=”media-body”>
<div>
<strong class=”package-title”>[title] | [file_size]
</div>
[download_link]
</div>
</div>
<div style=”clear: both”></div>
</div>
<div style=”clear: both”></div>
Thanks. But I am slightly irritated: Where would I get this “css organised template view” from? All traces of it have vanished from my website with the recent updates. The template “default-old” is not there anymore, so I cannot get a template view anymore.
In the link I sent you I can only find things like this in the source code:
“WPDM Link Template: Default Template ( Old )”
Don’t you have this file somewhere in the project? I am very confused as to why this template doesn’t exist anymore. Why has “default-old” simply disappeared? Can this not be reconstructed from the link I provided?
Regards
Sorry, I am not quite sure what you mean.
A screenshot of the templates that are installed in the module or a screenshot of the “look” that I would like to have? The link I have provided shows what I am trying to achieve.
How can I provide another screenshot here?
With thanks
Sorry, what am I supposed to do with a screenshot?
I’m sorry but I don’t know how to code. I would like to know why this template was removed from my installation ? It used to be included, so please could I ask you to provide me with a file that will bring back this link layout again?
With thanks
Thanks but that won’t do it because I want the template to behave and look differently.
The “default-template-old” was a nice, tidy download option which only displayed the file name, icon, size and a download button.
How can I achieve that then?
I can’t post any images here otherwise I would show you what the downloads looked like back in October for example. The wayback machine however provides a screenshot of the old page. Yes, I have tried. It is a statistics plugin which has recently been updated and now seems to be causing the issue. Thanks – I have deactivated it and it will stay like this until another update becomes available.
All my packages refer to the default-old template so it must have been there 🙂 Why has this all of a sudden been removed from my installation ?
Can I get a copy please? I don’t like the look of the other templates as we need a simple, clean download option for files.
No there isn’t one. But the reason I am writing is that there used to be one. I have always used a “default-old” template, but I wasn’t the one who created it or installed it. I have always selected the template from the dropdown menu when uploading a new file.
Is it possible that the last update (5.3.2) caused some issues within my installation? These errors are odd and annoying.
I have disabled all other plugins and then the buttons worked again. However, this won’t be a long-term solution as I also need the other plugins.
Anyway, I am sure that this problem is new. I was able to work with the download manager in the past and everything was fine. Has the plugin been updated recently?
Thanks for checking and please see if this can be fixed soon.
Oliver
The correct licence has been in the system. But still, wordpress thinks there is an update 5.3. but downloading it fails.
“The update can’t be installed”. The package is empty is what my wordpress tells me. Weird.
I have used
`[wpdm-all-packages categories="sport-qualifikationsphase-kursausschreibungen," items_per_page=30 order_by="post_title" order="asc"]
No idea why but it works fine now.
However, is there a way to get rid of the “categories” and “updated on” columns in this template?
Many thanks
Oliver
