Sure, just be careful. As I was deactivating plugins it caused a critical error that required hosting support to switch the theme temporarily. The 2 plugins currently inactivated (miniOrange and WP All Import) need to stay deactivated. Activating miniOrange will initiate SSO login which is not configured for this domain and will cause issues.
I just tried deactivating PDF Viewer too and the issue still exists just using WPDM. I’ve sent tickets in the past about .pptx and .docx files so this isn’t new…just happening again.
I can confirm after deactivating all plugins except WPDM and PDF Preview and even changing themes, the issue still persists.
Looks like it is only .pptx and .docx file types. Let me see if I can get you access to our staging site.
I apologize, I didn’t see you had responded, Nayeem. I’m using version 6.7.8 of WPDM Pro. We are also using Package Lists and PDF Viewer.
Sorry for my delayed response! Yes, I’m specifically referring to screenshot 2. It would be helpful to have imagery display rather than the large box with horizontal lines. Something more like this: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0751/3419/files/Pinterest_hack_main_without_logo_large.JPG?v=1556373369
Unfortunately, I cannot. We are just so locked down. I ended up using shortcodes to display only a certain tab of the user dashboard and CSS to hide everything I didn’t want to see. This is an okay workaround for now, but I’d love to see shortcodes creates for the Package List and Download History that can be used on their own and display accurately!
Things seem fixed with 6.7.6. Thanks, Nayeem.
I am back from vacation. Is this code still needed with 6.7.6? I see the 6.7.5 update adds an option to enable/disable mime-type validation.
Also, it looks like something has changed with my videos that I’ve previously added through the “Insert URL” option. This seems related to when the previous issue started. Vimeo outputs URLs with “?share=copy” at the end and all of the videos already on my site with that at the end of the URL aren’t working. Updating to 6.7.6 seems to have fixed that issue though.
I am unable to do that. I have a live website that has a ton of traffic. The issue did not occur with any previous version until I updated to 6.7.4.
Once I rolled back to 6.7.3, uploads are working again.
I do not have the ability to provide access currently. Our site is very locked down and is only accessible in the U.S. My IT representative who can toggle on access outside the U.S. is not here and I am leaving for vacation tomorrow.
I may need to look at rolling the plugin back a version to get us by in the meantime since the timing is weird about being able to give access right now.
We have very tight website security and I am unable to provide access at this time. Our site is protected by SSO, so I cannot share URLs. I can however try to provide video of what is happening if you think that might be helpful?
[wpdm_user_dashboard]
shows other tabs than just download history though.
[wpdm_package_list]
isn’t showing accurate information. The favorites lists that show aren’t mine…I don’t know where this info is coming from. What I see in my Package Lists with [wpdm_user_dashboard]
is completely different than [wpdm_package_list]
.
[wpdm_user_profile]
shows a list of downloads for me that doesn’t at all reflect my download history via the WPDM Stats page. And if I switch to the Favorites tab it says I don’t have any.
I’m getting 3 different favorite list experiences with the different shortcodes and 2 different download history experiences.
So, these individual shortcodes don’t exist? I know there is one for the Favorites [wpdm_package_list]
but download history doesn’t already exist as its own shortcode?
I tried [wpdm_user_profile]
and [wpdm_package_list]
on my page, but they are showing incorrectly. I have favorites saved and in both of these shortcodes it displays I have none, but with the [wpdm_user_dashboard]
shortcode, they are there.
Do you have any demos or documentation to visualize this feature? I want to see it in action, as I don’t feel like your explanation is very helpful. I don’t have the ability to implement the feature to test, so I’d like to see what it does upfront to decide if this is something that would be beneficial for us to pursue.
I guess my question is what is the point of the AI templates? What purpose do they serve and what capabilities do they offer? I’m just failing to see the benefit to creating a template with AI.
What do you mean by you will be able to create templates? We don’t currently have either of these AI platforms, but are investigating ways to integrate AI with our site. Do you have more documentation on what these templates are intended to do or demos on how this integration further enhances WPDM? As we plan, we want to understand what tools are available to us, their functionality and plans for future growth.
Is this not something that can be adjusted and pushed out in a future update as it was last time? Our process for granting access to outside vendors is complicated and it would be preferable if making adjustments on our site wasn’t required and the fix could be pushed through a plugin update.
Just curious how this request is coming along. We are still seeing guest users logged in our stats, although they have decreased.
I have updated to the newest version, but am still experiencing the issue of no preview for .xlsx files. The dropdown for multiple files is there, but blank.
