Hello Nayeem,
Unfortunately, that solution is not compatible with the lock options (we ask for check terms and conditions in the popup after clicking on “download”). The popup is not opening anymore.
Could you please provide another solution to not translate the text of the [download_link] and which works with the lock options?
Christian
Thank you, that works!
Hello Nayeem,
ok but how can I translate this template tag?
Short description of the problem: https://www.loom.com/share/214e9616207d4a0ab468cc19e896ac0f?sid=3d8ed9d0-ec9c-47b6-ac59-487ff9cbb004
Hope you can help!
Thank you but I think you meant min-height, not max-height 😉 With that it worked.
Thank you for your help! We can close this thread now.
Yes, the popup should have a height of 600px instead of this 350px approx.
That’s good news, would be the best option for the whole thing!
Thank you, that was a helpful answer!
The width is fine but not the height. Any idea why?
Do I maybe have to add a height parameter in the div as it is for width? -> https://imgur.com/a/S28ZrFz
Unfortunately, that doesn’t work (tried this code already before I texted you).
Alright. So we reorganize our download structure. I don’t see any other chance.
Other question: How can I increase the width and height of the modal/popup for the terms? I only find a hard coded height in the style part of the modal code. How can I change this to custom width and height?!
By default it looks like this: https://imgur.com/a/hPrnm2e
I should look like this (red frame):https://imgur.com/a/ojcCtvq
Please provide the css / html that the width is 980px and height 600px.
Ok, then we have to change our file structure. I will check the documentation for that. You didn’t answer me that question (asked in the previous messages 2-3 times).
You can close this thread then…
Lock Option for single download would be the best of course! If you could talk to your developer, would be great. But I would need to know if and when this can be implemented.
Ok, why is this function only available for main buttons? I don’t see any sense in this.
What is the shortcode for the main download button? Or how can I show them as you do in your example https://wpdmpro.w3eden.com/download/agree-and-terms?
And there is no option for single downloads? How does this make sense?
I just activated the file cart add-on again. You can deactivate it for your testing.
… and we also need to deactivate the File Cart add-on, right?
We have activated this checkbox first of all: https://imgur.com/a/uxC9erU. As we now know, the popup does not appear because of the File Cart add-on.
However, if I deactivate the add-on, the download buttons for the files are missing: https://imgur.com/a/dfijxMu
Single Download is activated: https://imgur.com/a/SvvSHsC
What adjustments do I need to make for the single download to work? Is it due to the missing link template (https://imgur.com/a/5NW82d9)?
Yes, that’s exactly what we are looking for 🙂
There is no main download button: See screenshot here https://imgur.com/a/hBeb5od
But actually not difficult and complicate what we ant:
1. User clicks on download button
2. Popup to agree the terms shows up (same/similar as at the documentation for premium package
3. Download of the file.
Ok, so what is your recommendation that we reach our result (user have to agree terms before download of FREE files)?
I understand that we cannot use file cart in this case. That would be ok then. But deactivating of the file cart doesn’t solve our issue with the free files.
I recorded you a video: https://www.loom.com/share/315a548e1a6644149dbade9cd3fe1d6b?sid=9eb286ff-363f-4985-9ef2-295a0a788cc7
As you can see there, the premium package and file cart add on is installed but the popup is not showing up. I guess because we still don’t see the checkout settings in privacy tab as described in the documentation as step 3.
That’s exactly what we did. As I said, we did everything as in the documentation described BUT THE CHECKOUT SETTINGS ARE MISSING IN THE PRIVACY TAB!
I really don’t understand, why you are not understanding the real problem. Is it the language? Please use a proper translator then. I described it multiple times with screenshots what we need and what the problem is.
Please deliver a solution now!
Why do you even think we want to sell anything?! I did not mention this in one word. In opposite, I made clear that the downloads are for free! -> “The downloads are for free, user just have to agree on terms before they can download files in the file cart.”
On our website (only available for registered/logged in users) user can download files FOR FREE. At the moment without any terms to agree before the download. This is the only thing we want to change now! User must have to agree on terms before they can download anything. That can be solved by your “Lock options”, described in this documentation.
We added the lock setting as described in our download files but the checkout settings is missing in the privacy tab! So the popup is not showing up when user download files. The only difference to the documentation is that we have the Add-on WPDM – File Cart.
I hope you get finally, what we need. The problem is very clear described inclusive screenshots.
Hello,
I don’t understand.
What do you mean with premium downloads and „premium packages“?
As mentioned we are using the add on WPDM – File Cart.
The downloads are for free, user just have to agree on terms before they can download files in the file cart.
Hope it is clear now!
