It seems since upgrading to the latest version of the free Download Manager showing results on a mobile/tablet device has a long wait period (around 30 seconds or so). On my PC it seems normal but I have heard for some visitors it isn’t.

Hello,

I have done some tweaks on your website. It should be faster now.
Let me know please if it is okay now.

Thanks

I don’t see any change in speed when accessing it from my cell phone. It is still taking up to 30 seconds to load the page.

Hello,

Sorry to say Your whole website is slow.

This is the result of google pagespeed insight before deactivating download manager and wpdm addons on mobile and desktop

This is the result after deactivating download manager and wpdm addons:

Also I have checked and haven’t found any php/js errors of wpdm. I have realized only WPDM is not the reason of the slowness. Please take other measures.

Thanks

Not withstanding the Google results you posted. If I open the website on my computer. It’s good. If I open it on my cell or tablet, its good unless I am opening the 2 pages that use Download Manager. That is where the big wait is. So you have no idea why that is?

Hello,

I am sorry I haven’t found any issue from WPDM. Realized that the pages preload first time in browser which is taking the time. But after the loading, everything is okay. Also tested it multiple times, Disabling some plugins made it load faster. After this update of WPDM we haven’t received any complain about the slower issue also didn’t receive any slowness complain with this shortcode before. So I think there could be other reasons on your site.

Thanks

It is some sort of conflict with the Jetpack plugin that was causing the slowdown. I have removed it and everything is working normal again. You had disabled and re-enabled it but it wasn’t connected yet. As soon as I connected it to an account again, it slowed down. I then disabled and everything was quick again.

Another followup on this post for your information in hopes that you can find the exact reason. I had another website that had the exact same issue. Again it is a conflict with this plugin and Jetpack that is causing the issue. Only option is to disable Jetpack or not use your plugin.

Hello,
Sorry to hear about the issue.
I hope the slower issue with jetpack will be fixed in next updates of WPDM. Please keep patience.
Thanks

As a followup, this is still an issue with Jetpack. I activated Jetpack again today to test it the most recent version and it is still an issue.

Hello,
We didn’t receive any other reports regarding this issue.
However, if you face the issue there could be another reason in your website.
Could you please send me temporary admin access again in a private reply by activating jetpack? I need to check the error logs.
Thanks

Hello,
I found an api error caused by jetpack which may slow the website.
Deactivating the notification module has fixed the issue.
However, could you please check it now if the slower issue has been solved?
Thanks

#165007

Checking on my phone again shows no difference here.

Sorry I dont find any other issues there with wpdm.
However, I would suggest you to contact jetpack support. Maybe they could tell the reason
Thanks
