Using the dropbox add-on I would like the ability for dropbox hosted files to be downloaded directly rather than open and play in the browser. I saw in another forum thread #26751 http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/dropbox-issues/#post-26751 that “download or play will depends on dropbox, nothing to do from wpdm”. I found this dropbox article https://www.dropbox.com/en/help/201 about forcing a file to download by adding ?dl-1 to the url. But as the wpdm’s UI options stands I see no way of being able to make this change. Is there a way to add this to a file url somehow in the download manager options?
Another solution to this issue could be to use a php hook. I am wondering if there is a way to add internal php hooks like the web hooks add-on that would allow us to call a function when a file is downloaded?
