Download process is hanging up

We have a similar problem as described in the ticket : https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/download-is-hanging-up-when-password-reqiuered/
The download of a file on our productive site is suddenly no longer possible. The download dialog hangs.

Already tested:
– different templates
– Password (with and without password request)
– Version 3.2.84 and .83

The download works if the WordPress admin is logged in. After logging out the download does not work anymore.

I hope you are doing well and am sorry for the inconvenience.
– As you can see the error. Enabling wp-json could solve this problem.

– Check for plugin or theme conflicts. Disable other plugins and switch to a default WordPress theme. Then, try to download the file again. If it works, gradually enable plugins and switch back to your theme one by one to identify the conflicting element.

If still the problem persists then share your wp-admin login information here in private reply.
