All documents unattached after installing WPDM: "download-not-available.txt"

All given downloads don’t work since I downloaded the given WordPress Download Manager (the old download plugin couldn’t be updated anymore). If I click on the download-button, there’s just a download of a “download-not-available.txt” – all previous linked documents aren’t linked anymore. And I neither know where to find them in the backend, nor do I know how to re-attach them to the respective link. (https://hans-josef-fell.de/dokumente/)

Which version you were using before the update?

If I’d know, I’d tell you, but unfortunately I don’t. The problem started when WordPress advised me to install WPDM because seemingly the download-plugin I used before was outdated.

As I found, you actually were using the pro version, now you moved back to the free version, that is why the issue was happening, however, I’ve adjusted it. Also, your pro order is expired, please renew your order to get the updates.
