Look in your wp-config.php if this section is defined:

/** * WordPress Localized Language, defaults to English. * * Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the chosen * language must be installed to wp-content/languages. For example, install * de_DE.mo to wp-content/languages and set WPLANG to 'de_DE' to enable German * language support. */ define('WPLANG', 'ar');

Other thing: looking here http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language#Arabic_.E2.80.93_.D8.B9.D8.B1.D8.A8.D9.8A_.28ar.29 i understand that the code for arabic is not “ar_AR” but only “ar”

Your mistake is in the file renaming. It’s WordPress translation basic guidelines…

You need:

1. original wpdmpro.po and wpdmpro.mo in english
2. Your wpdmpro-ar_AR.mo and wpdmpro-ar_AR.po in download-manager/languages/ directory

If your wp-config.php is well configured, the translation will be activated

Probably mine is a stupid question, but… have you removed the indexed page from the Google cache, using Webmaster Tools?

Better tested: Google+ lock works, Facebook not.

The download page: http://www.cashmatic.it/download/ (test on the last package)

If you click “Download” the popup shows only the Google+ button, not the Facebook one

Problem 2:
In the package download page (http://www.cashmatic.it/file/enada2013-sogemachange-a3/) i don’t have the download link

sorry for the direct mail but i don’t have in this moment access to the forum

The question: look at http://www.cashmatic.it/download/ ad stop with your mouse on any category. You see that the resulting link contains the name of the category (example: http://www.cashmatic.it/downloads/brochures/)

That link is read and indexed by the search engines, in fact i’ve see some accesses to any of those pages. The “problem” is this: the resulting page is an unuseful page without anything but the comments box 🙂

So my question is: how i can add a noindex, nofollow tag to these pages or, alternatively, why you don’t code something that renders the downloads available for that category? As you can see, i have the directory addon, so i think you may add some functions that simply renders the shortlink with the “this category” parameter.

I’ve created e new package, but i think the code you posted above didn’t work.
The og:url property still remains http://www.cashmatic.it/wpdmpro/wpdmpro/ 🙁

You already have the login, i’ve sent it many days ago for the test site. The login is the same, but the URL now is http://www.cashmatic.it 🙂

Another example: i’ve tried adding to my sitemap the “Downloads” post type. The unuseful link is in the sitemap, as the ONLY sitemap link for that post type. Ridiculous.

I’m still having this trouble, and the support don’t answer anymore.

I’m using WordPress SEO by Yoast and i’m still having that stupid canonical /wpdmpro/wpdmpro/ totally unuseful. Same canonical address is in all the og:url meta for Facebook

Can i have an answer, please? What the hell is the link /wpdmpro/wpdmpro/ ?????
Viewing at any single downloadsource code, i can view that the /wpdmpro/wpdmpro/ link is in the meta property=”og:url” content, and this is a bad thing.

Why? What’s this link? Why?

Ok, understood. In fact, i have no page with “downloads” slug. Only the WPDM category base is “downloads”
But… if i connect to http://www.cashmatic.it/downloads/ (that is the WPDM category URL base) i get a “strange” page: http://www.cashmatic.it/wpdmpro/wpdmpro/ that i think has no sense.

So, let me understand… if i want a “download page”, with all the available downloads, i must create a page and insert on it the shortcode for the Archive Page plugin? Like the http://www.cashmatic.it/downloadpage example?

Only one thing: for testing, yesteray i0ve modified my downloadpage slug, that now is /downloadpage and that its not linked in the menu

So, the menu points to /downloads, that is the WPDMPro slug. The “real” download page, with archive page plugin, is /downloadpage and you have to type the address manually.
