You are correct v 4.7.6, as I have running my production site, does not report these errors

I have just retested and it is my 2 development sites that are reporting the errors. I found I have made two errors in making this report

1) on both sites i have/had v4.5.4 pro installed and it was on of these this site that i ran my tests. (I assume used to be able to update these sites but no longer can due to licencing changes and, as I am no longer getting messages about WPDM plugin upgrades being available, i missed this ).
2) on one of these sites I have now uninstalled v4.5.4 and installed the free version (2.9.74). retesting this site now reports these errors

Hi Shahriar

I’m not in any particular rush at the moment.
Assuming the code update will happen in the next release i can wait til then

well that makes onedrive storage unusable for me
I can’t find mention of this limitation in your documentation and i think it should be there

thanks

I don’t know what version of chrome this screenshot comes from but it is nothing like mine (Version 64.0.3282.186 (Official Build) (64-bit) – which is the latest version I think – except for “canary” – which i also have installed and it has the same ‘settings’ screen as v64….).
My settings doesn’t have a ‘clear auto-opening settings’ button anywhere.

googling “chrome clear auto-opening settings’ doesn’t come up with anything useful – other than maybe something to do with ‘handlers’
My other download settings is the same as this screen shot.

Also it is not just chrome functioning like this – I just tried Edge and it operates the same way

As well no other downloads of word documents using chrome causes them to opened. They just get downloaded.

As well I can’t expect my users (who may or may not be using chrome or edge) to understand such things as handlers.

I have exactly the same message in my ‘installed plugins” listing
If I go to ‘downloads’, ‘settings’ then download manager package is not even listed amongst the list of packages I could install (as I have the special pack licence) – ie purchased addons tab. Normally it is listed here to be ‘updated’
there are also no packages listed under the ‘free’ tab

Ok all fixed now
thanks for your help.

In summary to cover all the ‘private reply’s’ that others can’t see

I was having trouble uploading a particular file to attach to a package.
File name contained the word “subscription” and any attempt to uploaded a file with the word “subscript” in its name failed…BUT “subscrp” worked ok.

Siteground (my host) confirmed that having the word “subcript” was indeed causing a match with one of their custom security rules.

Their fix is to modify my htaccess file to add
<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecRuleRemoveByID 801037
</IfModule>
