Hang on, I may have figured out the issue. I will report back.
Damn. Well, I definitely learned a lesson…
If this helps, I noticed that in the url referred to by the download link, some (but not all) underscores are casted to ‘%20’
Shahriar, it looks like the SQL to update description actually updated and deleted all of my normal wordpress posts… Is there a way to get them back???
Okay, the problem is two-fold (I am not sure whether these issues are related:
1. When a guest/non-subscriber vists my page, adds an item to the cart, and clicks ‘purchase’, they are then asked to either login or register. So they click register (since they aren’t subscribed), and then they pay (via stripe). The problem is that their first download never shows up on the purchases page.
2. When a logged-in/subscriber attempts to download, then the items DOES show up on the purchases page. BUT the problem is that it directs to a 404 (usually, not always). The 404 error shows up with the website theme still intact though, as opposed to a browser-generated 404 error (I use The Next theme)
then the NEXT time they login to download an exam, it WILL show the download on the ‘Purchases’ page, however the page returns a 404.
to alter a bit what I said before, the problem is actually that upon subscribing, the user’s download does not show up on the ‘Purchases’ page
*checkout is via Stripe, if that makes a difference
According to this forum post, the “mass update option” was supposed to be released by the end of August.
Any update on when these changes will be made to the WPDM Default Value add-on? Apparently the Default Value add-on was updated yesterday, however it does not seem that the bulk update feature was added.
What would the SQLs be for the following?
1. setting access permissions (for all files)
2. updating access permissions (for all files)
3. setting the link-template (for all-files)
4. updating the link-template (for all files)
5. setting the description (for all files)
6. updating the description (for all files)
It would be great if a plug-in would take care of this, for all package properties.
Thanks guys
It works, thank you!
When I set the price manually for one of the packages, a search found ‘__wpdm_base_price’ once. So it seems that the above SQL will only work if a price has already been set initially. So that does not solve my problem of having to manually set a price for all packages.
Actually this did not work. It seems to not be returning any rows for that key name. There is however a key name ‘price’. Is that it?
Thank you!!
What what should I set ‘__wpdm_base_price’ to?
This works perfectly. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Great, thank you. I’ll try it out later today.
Also, I’ve been formally educated in C++, Python, Matlab, and R. So although I don’t “know” PHP, I know that what I’m asking couldn’t be too enormously difficult. There’s gotta be these two arrays: one of category IDs, and one of category names. Those two arrays have the same size, which is fantastic. Can’t you simply map one library/namespace onto the other?
I appreciate your guys’ customer service. I really do. But could I please get an honest estimate of how long this will be? I didn’t buy the free plug-in… I bought the all-addons pack with WPDM-pro. Then I bought your premium The Next theme (which didn’t even work for the first week, causing me to waste countless hours because you guys didn’t even post a notice or send an email stating that the theme needed/was undergoing repair). Please just estimate how long it might take, and give me that (honest) answer. I’m a broke college student and the $150 I slipped into your pocket was a big investment for me. I would have gone another route at this point. I just want to get WPDM up and running.
May I get a quick update on this?
