Thanks, the code is now limited to WPDM.

While it is not fully the regular sizing behavior of an embedded youtube video, this will work for my situation for now, thanks.

Hi. It worked for this particular use however it broke all my other regularly embedded youtube players across the website. I had to remove the height code since it was also affecting youtube videos outside of WPDM.

Hi,

It is now horizontally correct, showing inside the card but is vertically wrong, very long.

Embedded youtube players usually maintain the normal 16:9 aspect ratio when resized larger or smaller.

Hi,

Thanks it stops the overflow, however the player is not resized to fit within the card. It’s still too large, and not showing the full youtube player interface.

Login details and relevant URL posted above.

I’m using the link template called ‘class-catalogue’.

Please ignore the code after the <br>, as that’s my original backup template that I’m keeping to the side.

Hi, thanks for your video.

I’m afraid it seems my issue is not being clearly communicated.

As mentioned previously, the formatting of the link template seems incorrect in bootstrap 4.

I’ve made a new screenshot with labeled lines and arrows. Lefthand side is bootstrap 4, right is bootstrap 3.
– Red highlighting shows the difference in text size, bootstrap 4 (leftside) becomes too big
– black arrows show the increase in padding inside the box, too much white space in bootstrap 4 (left side)
– blue arrows show the download button has shrunk, and also too much padding in bootstrap 4 (leftside)

I would like it to look like the right side, bootstrap 3

Your video link also shows the same issue, looking like the incorrect leftside of my screenshot

Hi,

I’m afraid it’s not, it still looks like bootstrap 4, like the lefthand side in this screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/MgAeCbm.jpg

Yes I would like to be using bootstrap 4 but with the bootstrap 3 appearance

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

I’m aware of the customization options and have also done some edits in the past with this method.

However I cannot replicate the default look that I had with Bootstrap 3.

Please see the screenshot again: https://i.imgur.com/MgAeCbm.jpg

Right side is bootstrap 3, and is how the link template looks by default, and how i prefer it to be. The only change I made to it was making the title text not clickable, everything else is normal.

The leftside is bootstrap 4. The template file was not altered in any way, yet it still looks different just by switching to bootstrap 4.

Hi, thanks alot, the page, accordian, tabs are all working.

I’m sorry I forgot to mention one more conflict that happens within WPDM itself, which still exists on Bootstrap 4:

My download link template styling gets corrupted as well. Please see this screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/MgAeCbm.jpg

The left side is on Bootstrap 4. The title becomes oversized and becomes a clickable link. The outline box is also not as streamlined, it has wider padding

The right side is on Bootstrap 3 and is the correct look. Non-clickable title, smaller text fitting the theme, and the outline box is tighter.

Hi.

The page does look clean and correct thanks, however it seems you changed my settings to Bootstrap 4 and unchecked the box for ‘Disable Bootstrap JS’.

As I mentioned in detail in my first post, without these two settings some functionality on my site breaks, even if it fixes WPDM items.

I’ve checked again, and as before, some functions are not working because of these settings changes. I’ve changed it back to bootstrap 3 and disabled bootstrap JS. My site is ok again, but the page https://al-m.ca/speced-draft/ is not correct anymore.

Hi, I have not made a separate ticket, let me know if I should and I’ll make a new topic.

Basically if I don’t make the settings changes I mentioned, some Avada theme functions break on my site. I’ve listed a couple that I’ve noticed:

1 – The Avada accordion toggles which are heavily used throughout my site. Some toggles will not open, others will open but will be blank inside, the content will not show up
2 – All WPDM download link templates become irregular shaped. The title text becomes very large, the download button becomes larger, and it simply doesn’t look right. An example of sometimes when even the icon becomes very large: https://imgur.com/gB4Byjz

Basically if I leave settings as default, the above 2 issues happen, but the WPDM archive shortcode looks normal.

If I change the boostrap settings the above 2 issues are fixed, but the WPDM archive front end looks irregular.

You can compare the visually irregular version of an archive page (https://al-m.ca/speced-draft/) with a normally functioning archive page (https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/advanced-search-left/)

I had seen other people post similar conflicts with Avada, and they were told by WPDM team to disable bootstrap JS and use Bootstrap 3, which is how I came across the temporary solution as well.

Thank you very much, this worked. I’ve noted that parameter for the future.

With this resolved, I was wondering if there is any fix in the works to improve compatibility with Avada theme? I have to disable bootstrap JS and use Bootstrap 3, in order to avoid WPDM/Avada conflicts. As a result of these settings the visual layout of the archive page doesn’t look entirely correct as you have probably noticed.

Hi, I see it worked on your test page with the particular category you used. However you’ll see on my test page in my private reply, same code didn’t work for the category i need, called ‘special-education’.

I also edited the category to ‘special-education’ on your test page and got the same result of no packages showing up.

I also noticed you changed my WPDM settings, Bootstrap 3 to 4, and you unchecked ‘Disable Bootstrap JS’. I need to have bootstrap 3 checked, and Bootstrap JS disabled, otherwise WPDM causes direct conflicts with my Avada theme and breaks various parts of site. I’ve changed the settings back.

Thanks for the link, the add-on would work, though I don’t need to change other default values, only the template. Is that code available? Thanks in advance.
