Want to know about Lazy Download Addon

Hi, long time user of your plugin here. I wanted to know everything about lazy download plugin. But there is no detail. I have searched your plgun forum in wordpress, searched here, searched on YouTube and searched on google multiple times. I found nothing.

I am using the free version of the plugin. My question is,
1) If i buy the lazy download addon. would i be able to use it with the free version of the plugin or do i have to buy pro?
2) I simply want a system where, when someone clicks on a download button, automatically goes to a thank you page, and the download starts automatically within 3 seconds. Is it possible with the combination of free plugin and lazy downlead addon?

Please let me know. I am using your plugin for more than 5 years now. Hope to get an answer as soon as possible.

Hope you are well.

Yes, you can use it in the free version

For lazy download enabled packages, visitors will be redirected to the waiting page. The wait page will show a waiting time progress bar like the following image:

Or a countdown timer like the following image based on your selection:

From the admin option, you can select the front-end option for the progress bar or countdown timer.

In the page content, you will have to use the shortcode [wpdm_lazy_download] to show the waiting time progress bar. You can add your own content like tracking code, ads, or anything above or below of short-code or in both places.

Hello Riddhi,

Thank you so much for such a quick reply and explanation. This is amazing.

But one thing is still unclear. I have already saw the demo page before. But I have to click download, it doesn’t start automatically.

Please help me out by simply answering these question:
1) Is there option to control the waiting time? Like 3 seconds?
2) Is there any option so that after the waiting page loads, download will start automatically? I mean so that people won’t have to click download again.
3) Is there any option to include a functionality like “If your download doesn’t start automatically, please click here to download ”
4) Are all these 3 things possible with the free version and the lazy download addon?

Hope you are well. I am answering questions from your reference gradually,

#1, yes, you are capable to control the waiting time via user roles
#2, yes, you have an option from Start Download for downloading the file automatically or on the download button click
#3, yes, you can set for downloading the file automatically or on the download button click
#4, yes, you can also use lazy download add-on in the free version
