We have Download Manager working great for our standard downloads, but now we are creating a new category and new page for Premium downloads.

Please can you tell me how I create different types of user access, as I have tried the normal create a new User Group “Premium” and set the “Allowed Access” field on my new Premium downloads to be the new “Premium” user type.

But standard user logins (subscriber) can still access both types of download. Plus the new “Premium” user type can access the Premium downloads but not the standard ones.

For user registration and user type management I am using Ultimate Member. This has a usertype Priority field which i have tried switching my new usertype to have a higher priority but still no difference to what they can access.

Hope you can help. Thanks Craig

So, if I understand correctly, you want your premium users to have access to both premium and standard packages, while standard users (subscribers) should only have access to standard packages, not premium ones. Is that correct?

If so, you can easily achieve this using our Pro Membership add-on.

WordPress Pro Membership

Please check and let me know.

Ok, would this replace Ultimate Member plugin on our site?

Would it manage User Types, Login Facility, Register forms (x2 different types)

Please confirm;

Yes, Pro Membership can replace Ultimate Member Plugin. You can set different roles according to your plans(e.g: Pro, Free). Download maangaer can provide login,registration facility.
Here you can see the demo of Pro Membership.

Could you kindly explain the reasoning behind having two separate registration types? One for standard users and another for Premium users?
