Hi
I am configuring my downloads area to enable the user to buy a file. I have configured the settings etc and added the free “Premium Package” and enabled the Free Addons ‘WPDM Extended Short-codes’ and ‘Premium Package – WordPress Digital Store Solution’. I have enabled, for now, Paypal and “testPay”. as means of payment. I obviously want to try it out while I build the site with Test Pay
Everything seems to work OK when I create the new package with a test file and I can navigate to it, click “Add to Cart”, it shows me the price, and then I checkout. After checkout I get shown the “Thank you” page that I have also customised for my users. However, no download actually takes place. I am worried that when I make the site live with PayPal, users will pay but get no download.
Is that because I am using Test Pay? Is Test Pay set not to actually conduct the download? Or should the file still download even when using Test Pay? If so, what might I have done wrong?
Or, do I need to buy something additional in order for the download to take place? So far, I only have the free edition installed, and the free Premium Package.
Many thanks
Hi,
As you are using premium package user can download the file after purchase from the dashboard menu /wpdmpro/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
You can see the demo here.
Thanks
Thanks for your help…It’s very confusing…
OK, so I am getting there, but when I clicked on the download link for my test file, firstly I got “Package not available”, then when I tried a minute or so later, I got this message which is most undersierable : Calling 911! You better run now!!
How on Earth do I get rid of that, and why is it showing that instead of just downloading the test file?
Hi,
There may be no downloadable file available inside your package file. So the download showing “Package not available”.
However, Please send temporary wp-admin login info in private reply so I can check this issue in your installation.
Thanks
When I did a search for the error I found a website where the following file was listed : /wp-content/plugins/wpdm-premium-packages/languages/wpdm-premium-packages.pot where the error is defined as follows :
#: wpdm-premium-packages.php:471
msgid "Calling 911! You better run now!!"
msgstr ""
Is perhaps an old file left over? I can’t currently check if that is on my web server or not and can’t download WPDM from where I am currently to check
The issue itself now seems to be resolved – the problem was, I think, that my test page was a draft and I was previewing it when that error occurred, so it wasn’t a published page. So when I saved the page and then privately published it, everything worked OK. It was just that error message seemed a bit bizarre.
It’s for the unauthorized download. Thanks for let us know.
