Item Page – pulling 404 even though “Download” button works??

Hello,

I’m having issues download manager 404ing when users click on a file’s link to the “Items Page”. Once clicked, it returns a “404 not found” but if the user instead clicks the “Download” button to the right of the file name within the category table, the file downloads just fine.

Also – this doesn’t only happen for existing files; if I try to create a new download, that page also 404’s right after creation.

I’m also having an issue with one of the pre-provided templates – “Default Template w/Icon” It seems that no mater what I do, I can’t get the download button to be as small as it is within the preview window; so I had to switch to my current template “Call to Action 3”.

Hi Nayeem,

Unfortunately it is against our safety protocol to provide users outside of our organization access to the backend of our website. (Even if temporary) Can you please let me know what you were going to look into so I can provide screenshots / more details for you?

Hello @shukero,

Can you please check through flushing the permalink settings again from wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks, Pressing Save changes button again. please let me know if it works for you

Hello again Nayeem,

That fixed it! Thank you very much! Can you please fill me in on what may have cause the issue and why re-saving permalinks fixed it?

Glad to hear this your problem has been resolved. Pressing the saving change button, Permalinks and rewrite rules are flushed, thus it is working
