Is it possible to enable showcount inside the categories filter?

Hello, I am a satisfied customer of WPDM, having setup my file ara using the free version + premium directory addon.
I was wondering if it is possible to display the number of available files beside every categories name in the category filter.
The aim is to help users not to choose empty categories, but still displaying them.

I would like to see something like the following in the category filter menu:

-Category 1 (0)
–Category 1A (11)
–Category 1B (8)
-Category 2 (2)
–Category 2A (9)
etc. etc.

My current shorcode to display the page is the following:
[wpdm-archive button_style="inverse" link_template="default" order="desc" items_per_page="10" cat_view="compact" cols=1]

But even addding the showcount tag, it does not change (unless I misunderstood the way this code works :))
[wpdm-archive button_style="inverse" link_template="default" showcount="1" order="desc" items_per_page="10" cat_view="compact" cols=1]

Any advise?
