Hello.
I uploaded a PDF and when I clicked the file in the media library to open the settings, I clicked the green “Protect this file” button. Then under “Allow Access”, I clicked the role I wanted to have access to the file. After that, I grabbed the file URL, pasted it in an incognito window and it opened. Why is the role restriction not working?
I need to have only a certain role access this file, including the file URL.
Can someone help?
Thanks in advance!
Hello Elizabeth,
Hope you are well. When you are creating a package, don’t protect the media file from using the media file protection option, use package access control. The Media file protection option is for the cases when users are sharing media files directly without creating packages. I hope you have understood
Thank you and regards
Hello Elizabeth,
