The current, custome theme I am using right now does not give the error. I switched to 2022 theme to test, as per your instructions above, and when I get to page 3 on the pagination for the category ID shortcode, the front end switches from my blog to a whole screen WordPress error that “the website has encountered a fatal error” on the front end.

If I change the shortcode to only display a maximum of 9 items, all pages funtion. I have over 19 pages so it would be nice to be able to increase this number.

    Hi,

Having contacted my hosting company, they said it’s a problem with this plugin.

Since then I have also found that I cannot change the featured image.

These problems are exclusive to WPDM and all other plugins are working as they should.

Please can someone help me as I have customers waiting for new downloads.

I’m also getting this on the download edit page:

Also, this morning I got an email from WordPress saying the following:

    Howdy!

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, WP Pro Membership.

First, visit your website (https://aloetteeduddev.wpengine.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://aloetteeduddev.wpengine.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wppm_plan&page=wppm_subscribers) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

    https://aloetteeduddev.wpengine.com/login-form/?action=enter_recovery_mode&rm_token=zTjG0Qe7n5DmR2YNX4ohCU&rm_key=WhZvSSHDgotSXApnRcbps8

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.9.2
Current theme: Flatsome Child (version 3.0)
Current plugin: WP Pro Membership (version 3.5.0)
    PHP version 7.4.28

    Error Details

Hi – I have used the ‘clone’ feature to set up a new page template, but it has not worked. I now cannot access the list of page templates in the plugin dashboard: instead, that area of the page shows a fatal error warning. I have used the back button to get to the edit screen for the clone and attempted to change its contents, in case the problem was caused by poor code on my part, but it has no effect. How can this be solved?

Thanks for your reply however your answer not correct. UpdraftPlus is actually using the very newest AWS SDK PHP version 3.209.30, released only 3 days ago. According to the developer: The actual problem is that WPDM Amazon S3 is loading its libraries on every single WordPress request (front-end, back-end, JSON, AJAX). In particular, it loads them on UpdraftPlus’s pages and requests. Because of the conflict, an error occurs.

Please see this response from the UpdraftPlus developer for his full explanation of why WPDM Amazon S3 is the source of the conflict:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/php-fatal-error-conflict-with-wpdm-amazon-s3-plugin/

Please escalate this ticket to the developers so that they can correct this issue as quickly as possible. Thank you.

    The base directory is correct.

We believe that this is a compatibility issue with Download Manager and the level of PHP on our server. Our server is using the latest version of PHP – 8.1. The fatal error that is occurring each time the import is run is to do with this.

Please could you confirm the below:

    • Is your plugin compatible with PHP 8 and above? (We are running PHP 8.1 on our server)
    • The error we are receiving is possibly an error with PHP 8
    • It is likely to do with this – https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.count.php

Below is the fatal error we are receiving:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, null given in /var/www/allsaints.dorset.sch.uk/public/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Admin/Menu/ImportExport.php:258

Upon further investigation, we have found the error code found below:

FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined array key “csv” in /var/www/allsaints.dorset.sch.uk/public/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Admin/Menu/ImportExport.php on line 107PHP message: PHP Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type null in /var/www/allsaints.dorset.sch.uk/public/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Admin/Menu/ImportExport.php on line 107PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined array key “tags” in /var/www/allsaints.dorset.sch.uk/public/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Admin/Menu/ImportExport.php on line 244PHP message: PHP Warning: foreach() argument must be of type array|object, null given in /var/www/allsaints.dorset.sch.uk/public/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Admin/Menu/ImportExport.php on line 244PHP message: PHP Warning: Undefined array key “tags” in /var/www/allsaints.dorset.sch.uk/public/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Admin/Menu/ImportExport.php on line 258PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught TypeError: count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, null given in /var/www/allsaints.dorset.sch.uk/public/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/src/Admin/Menu/ImportExport.php:258

Does this help you in any way in diagnosing the issue?

    Tanvir,
I’m trying to use your export feature so I could get a working sample.csv file.
Unfortunately, the one I’m using (for an FTP upload) are failing (several errors in the error log).

My setup is: I have a local FTP server, and later on I’d like to configure a task which would run once every day, fetching the updated xxxx.csv file which would have the new files which were created meantime.

Now, I’m just testing if the FTP feature works, but it keeps failing. My sample file and the error logs:

    I’m still using version 5.3.7 because I get a fatal WordPress error when I try to upgrade to version 6xx. I finally had time to attempt to figure out what’s going on and it looks like this code I use in a page template file to display Download Manager links is no longer supported: $link = \WPDM\Package::getMasterDownloadURL($post->ID);

Can you please tell me what to replace that with? Thanks!
