    Hello,
I deactivated the old plugin, deleted it (just renamed the folder), uploaded the new version and activated it and got this messages on the plugin page… and then an error on every web page and no file listings where they used to be… what did I do wrong? Thanks in advance, Bob

    Hello,

I have version 4.5.6 working fine. But I get this when trying to activate version 4.6.x :

Just bought the pro version and getting the following error on top of the “invalid license key” error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘, expecting ‘)’ in C:\Apache\htdocs\resources-fs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\download-manager1\libs\socialconnect\facebookconnect.php on line 16

    Hi,

I can’t activate the plugin, giving this message:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare google_api_php_client_autoload() (previously declared in /wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/vendor/google/apiclient/src/Google/autoload.php:18) in /wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/socialconnect/Google/autoload.php on line 9

I’ve seen other people with the same problem on this forum, but no solution.

It’s urgent, because we used to have the free version of your plugin and I just bought the pro version and uploaded it. This means that downloads are unavailable right now.

AND, just got this back from server host, So please could you dealt with it ASAP. thaks

The PHP www-error.log displays a PHP Fatal error which likely correlates to each time you attempt a download. You can test this yourself by attempting the download, then checking the log, and looking at the timestamp of the error message, or just looking for a new entry at the bottom.

The error message mentions the plugin ‘download-manager’ specifically, so this is likely the cause of the failed downloads :

[19-Jan-2017 23:20:43 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function WPDM\wpdm_is_url() in /srv/data/web/vhosts/www.habitararchitects.co.uk/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/libs/class.FileSystem.php on line 30

This is an error with the plugins code, it is calling a function that is not defined within the code. I suggest you pass along this error to your plugin developer.

    Hi,

right the second exception: ‘ImagickException’ is due to imagemmagick-installation.

    But the first is php/plugin-related:
Fatal error: Class ‘WPDM\imagick’ not found in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\download-manager\libs\class.FileSystem.php on line 340

There is simply no class ‘imagick’ in the WPDM\ namespace …
Therefore it has to be called globaly with the preceding backslash: new \imagemagick

Hi, I have asked for this problems several time but still do not have a solution for this.

If I use AWS S3 add-on and try to create a bucket or try to access to an existing one, I do receive the following error message.

When I try to activate the pro-version plug-in it says there is a fatal error and gives me the following message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home2/harkinsa/public_html/realtimeprogramaudit/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/download-manager.php on line 12.

Our web host has said the problem is that the plug-in is not compatible with the word press theme, indicated as “word press child” theme, and directed us to address the issue with the developer.

Please advise how to address the problem. Thank you.

    Hi,
I posted this several times that I cannot activate my license. I did all you redommended me.

My server administrator checked everything for me and there is no problems in contacting any other server. But I can still not activate my license.

And the Amazon S3 Add-On still do not work. I receive the following message EVERY TIME

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /wp_harmonics/wp-content/plugins/wpdm-amazon-s3/aws/Guzzle/Http/Curl/CurlMulti.php on line 224

I increased the execution time from 30 to 60 seconds and to 120 seconds but the problem still occures.

I did send an temporarilly admin account via privat message but nothing happend AND my previous post are deleted!!!

I paid for this because I wanted to have professional download plugin for wordpress but I cannot use it. Next week my product lauch will start and I am not able to use the paid plugin!!! This is annoying.

Any help would be appreciated. I suspect it may be a plugin conflict but if there is any insight as to why the free version works fine and the paid one generates a fatal error, that would be helpful.

While trying to upgrade from version 4.5.5 to 4.6.0, we found an incompatibility with other plugins using Google’s API. The problem we were seeing is a white screen shutdown of the site with the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare google_api_php_client_autoload() (previously declared in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/vendor/google/apiclient/src/Google/autoload.php:18) in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/download-manager-4.6.0/libs/socialconnect/Google/autoload.php on line 33

While trying to find a solution, we ran into several messages with similar problems, and the solution was using a properly namespaced function name instead of the default (google_api_php_client_autoload). This would make it completely compatible with other plugins using the same API, even if they don’t user a proper function name. I have temporarily edited the file to give the function a proper name that won’t cause errors, and have notified the other plugin vendor about this same issue.

Not sure how a forum will help but….. the free version installs just fine and activates. The paid version generates a fatal error.

This problem is very annoying. If I add a package, I am for 2 Minutes not able to do something on the site. Then the following error message appears in the lower right corner where the S3 field is:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /wp_harmonics/wp-content/plugins/wpdm-amazon-s3/aws/Guzzle/Http/Curl/CurlMulti.php on line 224
