I’ve been testing this plugin before buying the pro developer licence, if I can just get the post types to appear in my search criteria. I don’t want to have to use the separate search add-on for this.

To illustrate the issue, on my dev site search page: http://modifiedforhunting.com/?s= on the left hand side are the ‘refine by type’ options showing Pages, Posts and a Custom Type – this is where I would expect to also see the wpdmpro custom post type.

Also on the left hand side you can see the ‘Refine by download category’ again this is where I would expect to see the wpdmcategory categories being displayed.

Does anyone know why the wpdmpro CPT and wpdmcategory taxonomies would not be showing up here, the facet search plugin is just using native functions to list the registered CPT’s and Taxonomies.

I need to check it in your installation, please give me a temporary wp-admin login info in a private reply.

Hi,

Have you had a chance to look at this yet? I know I only asked you yesterday via this forum, but it’s been 14 days since I first contacted you about this via email and my client is getting mighty itchy waiting to know if we can use it their various sites.

Cheers,

I’ve checked, looks like it is an issue with that search plugin, however, wpdm has it own search widget.

Really, what do you think the issue could be? The facet plugin is simply referencing any CPT’s registered on the site, we’ve not had any problems with it on any of the other sites we’re using it on.

As previously explained in emails to you, we do not want a separate document search, they need to be included as part of the general site search, so we can’t use the search widget add on.

Cheers,

Hi Zaccety,

Did you ever get this fixed? I have a similar issue where I can’t get wpdmpro content to show in my search results…

usually wp doesn’t include custom post type in general search result, but your active theme or any active plugin may include some custom post type with search result, in such case the theme or plugin need to have the option to include wpdmpro with search result.
