Download speed is currently set to 32768 – could you advise new setting?
Resumable and Output Buffering are both checked.
Downloads all seem to fail at approx 500mb (see screenshot):
This is being reported by several users and I am able to replicate in both Chrome and Safari browsers.
Do you have recommended PHP INI settings I can check?
Any update on this? Pagination for the Asset Manager?
I don’t think this is working quite as expected.
Is there a certain syntax I should use when putting an external URL in the File Browser Root field?
E.g. the website URL is:
https://dev.tinkertailordesign.com/myredroute
But I want images to be stored here:
https://luthermaxdavies.com/test
Do I just put https://luthermaxdavies.com/test in the File Browser Root field? It seems to break the Asset Manager when I try.
Ok thanks. I will try this fix if it happens again in the future.
Thanks!
Do you know why that causes the issue? Is it something that will be fixed in a plugin update?
Any timescale on this yet?
Just to confirm, do I need to create the /download-manager-files/ and /wpdm-cache/ folders at the external address?
Excellent!
So I can put a full URL here to another domain?
Will the required folders be automatically created, or do I need to create the /download-manager-files/ and /wpdm-cache/ folders at the new location?
What I’m trying to achieve is separate hosting for the client’s website and the actual WPDM files, because they have a very large amount.
Thanks,
Luther
Hi Nayeem,
Thanks for this!
I understand that I can add files that are already uploaded to another server using the Insert URL field.
But is it possible to have new files uploaded to a different domain than the local WordPress installation? So if I use the “SELECT FILES” button, these could go a different website, instead of the local /uploads/ folder.
For example, by default my files go to:
https://www.main-website.com/wp-content/uploads/…
Can I instead have them going to:
https://files.main-website.com/uploads/…
?
Hi there,
I wondered if there was any ETA on this yet? It is something we need quite urgently, as without the ability for the client to delete files, we are running out of space.
Many thanks,
Luther
Ok great I’ll do that and await confirmation of fix.
Nothing is being sold on the website (it’s not e-commerce / transactional).
I just need Pro Membership for access control to the WPDM Packages.
Hi there,
Just checking on progress or solution for this error.
Many thanks,
Ok. I don’t really need Premium Packages (unless it’s required for a technical reason).
There will be no e-commerce on the website.
I just need the Membership levels functionality.
Hi Nayeem,
Thanks for getting back to me. Unfortunately the problem remains with PHP 7.3
Are there any particular modules that are required, that I should check are enabled?
Also, am I correct that Premium Packages is required for Pro Membership?
Thanks,
Luther
Is PHP 7.4 okay for this plugin, or should I roll back to 7.3 ?
It’s PHP 7.4 and the Updates page is showing everything as up to date.
I will share login by private reply.
Hi there,
Do you know when this feature will be added?
Thanks,
Luther
That would be awesome!
I don’t suppose you know when this might be available..?
That’s great thanks!
Is it normal for the Asset Manager screen to take a very long time to display the /download-manager-files/ folder when there are a very large number of files?
This is why I have suggested a feature to organise this folder on upload (like the WP media library is organised automatically by date).
Thanks,
Luther
