Hi again,
we just found the solution and added the code ourselves.
It would still be a useful basic function to have. You should consider it for future versions of your plugin.

Hello Nayeem,
thank you!! Do you think you could give me an estimate of how long this might take? I’d like to give our client an update on this.
Regards
Hello,
just to make sure I understood correctly: I have to make a request for you to re-add this feature in a future version of the plugin?
It’s not possible to add it now? Our client needs this feature to be available again.
Thanks.
Hi,
we have the Advanced Access Control add-on installed on version 3.2.9.
The previous version we were using was 2.9.1.
Hi,
that is strange, because this feature already used to exist in a previous version of the plugin. See this screenshot showing the “Added on” column: https://postimg.cc/YjT0DY50.
Would you please check again?
Thank you!
Hi Nayeem,
thanks for the quick reply.
Our user-dashboard mainly contains a table list of all available download packages, as you can see in the screenshot I’ve sent in my previous message.
We used the [wpdm_user_dashboard]-shortcode to display the table.
Now we wish to add a column which displays the upload date and contains a sorting function (sort downloads by date).
I hope I could clear up any misunderstandings.
Thanks for the support
Oh Gosh, you’re absolutely correct. Thank you! Please note the changed password.
Hi Nayeem,
I’m fine thank you. How about you?
I’ve prepared a sharing link for a screenshot where you can see the problem:
https://postimg.cc/VSb1p3DW
You can see that the very first download is hidden underneath the navigation bar. You can only see the lower edge of the download button. We want to fix this by wrapping a container <div> around the list and adding margin top space. Also we would like to add a sidebar and the single category title.
I’ve searched for a component in your plugins ‘/src’ directory but unfortunately I couldn’t find it. Is there a configuration in the plugin’s settings I missed? Or can you tell me, where I can find the PHP file?
Thanks for your support.
Hi again,
unfortunately we still did not get any response from you regarding the issue of the download files missing for user role “investorgeprueft”. To be precise: We need the download files to work for selected user roles and not only for selected members. Since we bought the download manager pro plugin it should work this way according to your last message. But still it does not.
Since this is a very important function which needs to work by the end of this week I need you to take a look at the plugin again and take further steps in solving this problem.
Hello again,
please let me rephrase our problem to help with possible misunderstandings:
We have a My Downloads page where files are being shared. Only users with the role “investorgeprueft” are allowed to see those files. However, users with this role can’t see any files at all.
It is strictly neccessary that the file management is handled with the “investorgeprueft” user role.
Regarding the categories, we previously had them added to the My Downloads page, because users are redirected there after login. Please let us know how we can add them there again.
Thank you!
Hello again,
I just wanted to make sure if you understand our problem now and can reconstruct it. Because due to the forced php update next week it is a very time sensitive issue and it’s concerning the website of a very big company.
If you need any further information, please let me know.
Thank you!
1. User role is selected and the related users are NOT able to see the download packages. The set user role (investorgeprueft) is the only user role allowed to see the packages, so I cannot change it to anything else.
2. When I specify an individual user, it works and the package I added (“Test”) shows for the selected user. But that’s not a feasible way to do it, because we’d have to add several hundred users to this tab each time a new package is added.
Regarding the widget area, I’ll link my screenshot from my inital post again. The categories Audited Reports, Investor Calls etc. are missing from the sidebar. Or rather, the whole sidebar is missing.
Hi,
yes, it was indeed an older version.
As previously stated, we tested the development site with the same user as on the live site. On the live site, the user can see all the download files, on the development site it can’t.
Downloads are only supposed to be shared with this one user role, so we can’t widen it to all/other user roles.
Would you please check again?
Also, would you please tell us why the categories from the widget area are missing from the sidebar?
Thank you.
Thanks for the link. We have made some modifications to several files in order to meet our clients’ needs, would this mean we have to start over after the update, since you mention the codebase has completely changed?
Hello,
unfortunately I can’t do that, because our Support & Update Access for two of the three needed plugins has expired. So we need to renew our license first, in order to get access to a fresh download, hence my question about the error notification.
I’m sorry, but I’m unsure on where to add this shortcode. We’re currently using the “wpdm_user_dashboard” shortcode on the general download page.
Is there no way to set this without using shortcodes? Like using these setting options you mentioned in another post [Link] (but which don’t seem to be available in our backend for whatever reason)?
Hello,
thanks for the quick reply.
I just added the items_per_page=”20″ filter, but it didn’t accomplish anything. There are still only 10 files shown.
Hello,
as stated a few minutes earlier, I figured out what the issue was and you can ignore my post.
I’m sorry for taking up your time. Thank you!
