The update and the CSS works great! Thanks for getting this done. I know I’ve been very persistent with my requests, as always I appreciate the support. Cheers, have a good rest of the week!
Great news, and great progress Shahriar! Thanks for the quick response. I can now download directly from the default Guest Orders page without pressing “Proceed” with the email and Order ID entered. Excellent!
Were you prompted to enter your Order ID as the password when you tested the orders and downloads? It looks like you had 4 or 5 during your testing…did any of them properly use the PDF Stamper functionality? When I tried, it didn’t password-protect the downloaded file, and the following line was added at the bottom:
Please do not redistribute this paid version: | | Order ID: {order_id}
I have confirmed that the settings for PDF Stamper/encryption/password-protection are on the package I tried to download.
Second, you had said that there was some code for the Guest Orders page that makes it similarly responsive to the Cart page? Any chance that made it to the most recent Premium Packages release, but not to my template?
Thanks for your thoughts, again great progress! Nearly there.
Scott
Shahriar, good morning. Hope all is well. Just fyi, 4.2.8 Premium Packages did not fix my guest download issue. And now I get the error message 1) when I press the green download button from the guest orders page initially and 2) even after pressing “proceed” with the correct email address and order ID. Reverting back to the previous version until an update corrects that or you instruct me otherwise. Should I wait until the next full version release to update?
Thanks for any insights.
Scott
Thanks for the update Shahriar, much appreciated.
Have a good rest of the week!

Shahriar, good morning. Hope your weekend was a good one. Any progress or ETA on the Guest Order page download button leading to an error?
Thank you for your time, have a good week!
Scott
Shahriar, just checking in. Is there any way around the initial download button on the Guest Orders page leading to an expired link page? Again, when you add the email address and order ID and press “proceed” it works correctly – it’s just the default experience that produces the error. I am getting ready to do a big promotion of a new line of service and was hoping for some ecommerce activity this week but I fear the user experience won’t be the best.
I tried changing the orders page to something different in settings, thinking that I would lead to a straight confirmation page with no links or inputs following the credit card being processed. That page could just say, look for your link in the email. Then the link in the email could lead to Guest Orders, but that didn’t produce a different result. I’ve tried forcing /orders/ page not to cache, and also adding a “?nocache=1” to the end of the download link that produces the expired link error, but that doesn’t work either.
At this point, I’m hopeful that you have a quick fix that can either:
– remove the download “dashboard” from the guest orders page, only leaving the email address and order ID inputs. Once you press “proceed” on that screen, the download dashboard below it would be revealed (or the page would refresh), and the link would be valid/active.
– instruct me on how to change the order confirmation process so that I lead to a static page following credit card processing and a valid link is sent via email to the purchaser leading to the Guest Orders page with active/live links.
Cheers, I appreciate any status you’re able to provide. The ftp and front-end credentials sent in private message above are still active.

Shahriar, good evening. Just checking in. Any ETA on when the guest orders download page/download button will be fixed? Is there a way to take guest users to a guest orders page that DOESN’T automatically show the order and download details under the email address and order ID fields? In that way, they would have to press proceed to pull up the order info and download option, which is working at this point. I just don’t want users to be presented with a download button that doesn’t work by default. Thanks for any thoughts.
Lastly, that guest orders page is not responsive like the cart page – is that part of the bugs/to-be-fixed list for that page as well?
Thanks for your time, have a great rest of the week!
Scott
Just fyi, there is no longer an “attach a file” option in the forum. Seems like that would help illustrate some of these issues, don’t you agree?
Thanks for the info, makes sense!
Shahriar, first off, congrats on the new site, it looks great!
It looks like there has been an update to both the download manager and premium packages, but I’m still experiencing the issue with the download button when a user is redirected to the guest order page (without clicking proceed). Just checking to see when that fix will be made.
Also, any recos on programming for a child version of the premium package? What I had done before has changed with the most recent versions of the plugins, and I’m having trouble navigating to the right templates/assets to make the changes necessary, primarily for formatting purposes. I assume this is “view-orders” in the premium packages directory, however changes made to that file aren’t reflected on the site, even after clearing cache. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Have a good rest of the week!
Scott
That did it, thanks Shahriar!
Just curious, do you folks publish a list of field names that are saved to the WordPress table? I’ve found recently that my database is much larger than it should be, so I wanted to trim some of the fat. Just want to make sure I don’t delete any fields that are in use by WPDM.
Cheers, make it a great week.
Could someone explain to me how I could click on the order link sent in an email, 5 test transactions ago, could produce an order details page with the current order ID and downloads? When I try it that way, I’m able to download the most recent order. Please see the attached screenshot. I’m trying to figure out if this is a caching issue. Can’t find how the order/cart is stored (cookie or some other means) so that I can make changes to settings in WP-Rocket to “never cache.” I’ve tried never caching /orders/, /cart/, and /cancel/ which seemed to help. But I’ve never been able to place an order and download in the same session from the order details page – always produces a “download link is expired” message. Only able to download in the scenario above, some time after the initial sale.
Both sets of credentials are still valid if you’d like to go in and take a look. Basically I need to understand why so much of these transactions is being stored or cached, I think that might be the solution to why I keep getting expired link messages. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Scott
Just to test whether there was a conflict with any of my site plugins or the child theme, I started a new secured site with only the WPDM plugins and pages enough to test the guest orders. In that scenario, the “Download link is expired” message also pops up, which leads me to believe it’s an issue with the guest orders. I used the default settings from the plugin installs. I will send you login information in a separate note so you and your team can troubleshoot a fresh install of the latest plugins on a completely barebones site. I’m going to try and revert back to the last version of both Download Manager and Premium Packages that worked for me (last year).
Thanks for your continued assistance with this.
Scott
Shariar, hope the weekend was a good one. Now the “download link is expired” error message occurs in every scenario: when you first reach the order details page following the transaction, when you reach it via email link, and when you press “proceed” with email and order number inputs. Any help with this one is appreciated, thanks for making the time.
Scott
Download page is here: https://marketyourcraft.com/download/50-fastest-growing-breweries/
Shariar, this is a nice option for the time being. However, after checkout, with cache cleared, it presents an order details page with the email and order ID prepopulated, and the download available. Clicking download produces the attached “you don’t have permissions to download” error message. Only after clicking back, then clicking proceed under the email and order ID does it bring you back to the same page where the download link is valid. Any thoughts?
Interesting option, I’ll check it out Shahriar. Would definitely like to add the 100% coupon to the list of future features however.
Cheers, have a good weekend.
Scott
Cheers!
Shahriar, good afternoon. Would you please provide a status on using a universal coupon code to discount 100% of the transaction? As it stands, even updated to the most recent versions of both WPDM and Premium Packages, the system does not seem to be able to handle a “free” transaction. It gets stuck on verifying card, please see the attached screenshot.
The benefit to being able to give customers a 100% discount is that 1) it still looks like an order, only discounted, 2) the customer still gets the confirmation email and the normal order download experience and 3) PDF Stamper still is able to assign a unique password to each order based on order ID.
Hope this helps, thanks for your thoughts.
