Yes, I agree it would be the easiest way to get that working. However, every plan creates a new role on the site, and all the content of the site is managed with roles to determine who gets access to what. Plus, some of the UI, like the tick boxes on the membership page, is displayed or not depending on the role of the logged-in user, so creating a new plan for this would be a big headache, having to reassign permissions all the content and go through all the customers and figure out who needs to be added to the new role.
So if the existing one could be fixed, it would be great.
so theres no way i can rescue the currently utilised plan? just create a new one?
how does one link a plan to the paypal credentials? the test one you just made worked fine.So how can i make sure the other one links too?
yes, that pop up doesn’t go away. Any chance you can see whats wrong with the other plan?
Hi Tahasin
Thanks for your reply. There is a section on the right hand side called e-compliance membership and has a signup button in it. If you click on that it will take you to the purchase cart page where the issue happens. I’ve attached an image highlighting the button you need to follow
thanks. That sorted it
Thanks for the update Nayeem. The site has gone live today so I am really eager to have this issue resolved asap
Hi. Any progress on this front? It’s been nearly a month
Thanks
Hi Nayeem, thanks for that. Any further news regarding the invoices issue?
Hi, thanks for that. Yes there are some templates, and some do work, like new registrations, but for some reason, not the new subscriptions, and our site is just subscription so I really need those working.
But also the lack of invoicing is worrying. Am I missing any add ons or something? I do have the all ad-ons package but not all are installed
I will do. I tested it myself and seems to work. I’ll let you know when my test team has had a chance to try it out
Thanks. I’ll get that tested ASAP
thanks for that. Payments are going through with Paypal. However now after the payment is done and the pop up closes, the cart is stuck with the spinner and it doesn’t apply the membership to the account
Oh, I wasn’t aware there was a minimum amount. Ok yes, that seems to work now. I’ll push it to our testers.
Also, there seems to be a problem with the Paypal button on the checkout when you are logged in, if I pre-specify the plan on the button link. It flashes for a second and disappears. if you choose a different plan then go back to the original it appears again. Very strange.
If I remove the plan_id and let them choose the plan it works fine but some people might miss that
any idea why?
Hi
Sadly its still notworking. It did for a little while but it has stopped working again and the pop up just disappears again.
Also getting this error if I attempt to change the subscription price on a membership:
Error! paypal – {“name”:”INVALID_REQUEST”,”message”:”Request is not well-formed, syntactically incorrect, or violates schema.”,”debug_id”:”939287b51ea69″,”details”:[{“field”:”/billing_cycles/0/frequency/interval_count”,”value”:”150″,”location”:”body”,”issue”:”INVALID_PARAMETER_VALUE”,”description”:”The value of a field is invalid.”}],”links”:[{“href”:”https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/v1/billing/subscriptions#INVALID_REQUEST”,”rel”:”information_link”,”method”:”GET”}]}
Thank you. I will test that ASAP
yes, same link really, try to purchase the test item https://members.ateb-group.co.uk/download/wpdm-test-3/ and check out still has the dissapearing Paypal window for me in both safari and chrome.
So what solution is suggested then? can you solve whatever conflict is happening? I need both systems to be able to use Paypal if WPDM cant integrate TutorLMS
Hi Thanks for your response.
Payment through Memberships works now, but not through premium packages, that is still unresponsive. But I’m not too bothered about that since we are not using that side (also, every time I try to disable Premium Packages it breaks the site, what’s up with that?)
Unfortunately, I need WooCommerce turned on to be able to sell our online courses as we use TutorLMS and it needs it to check out. If there was a way to integrate TutorLMS with WPDM id be happy to remove it but otherwise I need both. Alternatively, could I use WooCommerce to check out our membership packages?
Thanks
also, the membership part is even worse, doesn’t even attempt to open the Paypal pop up.
Try to sign up for the e-Compliance membership and when clicking the blue Paypal button it does nothing
Hi thanks for your reply
No, it hasn’t been fixed. It only seems to work on chrome on windows. Every other combination of OS and browser we have tested seems to fail
