So I increased PHP script timeout very high and indeed it does complete now.
So it appears the issue is with the handling of the Download Link Page.
I have disabled creating of ZIP so not sure why the link page is still showing Download Zip Button??
Also I never click the Zip link button, but instead an individual file link. However, I see a zip being created in wpdm-cache? That is also the file I receive for download instead of the individual file I select?

So I have given up support… After so many days I have to get downloads working again.. I have rolled back my site to Jan 10.
At this point my site is working 100%. All themes and plugins are up to date except Download Manager which is running with version 6.2.8. So there definitely appears to be a major bug going on in 6.2.9…

First, my Server Administrators have spent many hours on this last week as I indicated already. We were running just fine with Download Manager for over 2 years before the Plugin update in Jan. We have made no other settings changes in those two years except to publish new packages.
Timeouts have been increased on both the Apache and NGINX side (We run on PLESK).
At this point we will look to start debugging the DB calls and the plugin.

Changing download speed from 0 to 8192 has no effect on the issue. We have raised the Timeouts very high now.
AH01067: Failed to read FastCGI header is the error we see.

Similar issues. Been working fine for years then one of the last two DM Plugin Updates has caused Timeout issue for me. I have latest Version 6.2.9 now.

Our engineers have spent alot of time investigating this. I’m not too happy about the support response so far. It took you so many hours before you even even clicked the links yesterday to see the issue….?????
My engineers have extended timeouts only to find that the issue seems to be a code bug in your plugin. As I indicated originally, this issue occurred after updating your Plugin.
“Failed to read FastCGI header” is most often caused by one of the following:
– A PHP code error in the software, such as a faulty plugin/theme
– A flaw in a PHP extension that you installed on your server
– The server RAM is running out
The error message “Failed to read FastCGI header” itself indicates that the PHP process did not react appropriately.
Since we know that my server RAM is not exhausted and the PHP extension on the server is acting properly for all other websites, the only explanation that remains is that there is a PHP code error in the software, such as a faulty plugin or theme. I don’t think it the Theme because I switched to 2023 Theme and same issue…
I just tried now again from several locations. The download links result in TimeOuts.
Hello have you tried any of the download links?
This seems to have all broke with the latest Plugin Update of Download Manager I performed on Jan 24th.
My Plesk Logs
Hello When is this going to be checked?
So I re-imported the DB from the old site and now it seems ok. So I am not sure if it was the fact that the first time I changed the Table Prefix during import of if Updraft did something strange also. This second time I kept the wp_ default table prefix and Imported to MySQL directly..
Thanks,
Jason
Any updates? We are going to have unlock our Downloads or move back to our old host soon if this cannot be resolved..
Thanks,
Jason
That is not the Issue. The Link is OK. I am using SendGrid for the emails as I have done for years now..
In SendGrid they have a function for cleaning up the URLS which we have been using for years the same.. Its called link branding otherwise the links arrive with sendgrid.com in them..
If you click the link it resolves properly to the site..
OK, I understand for the person requesting the download.
However, for Contact Form 7 we send the form output to Marketing. How can I capture the Package Name and send it with the Contact Form 7 form response?
I am talking about the Form Lock here not email lock. I want to be able to grab the package name variable and use it when sending the Contact Form 7 message to my marketing department.
Thanks,
Jason
