I would like to inform you that I was not notified of this renewal and that I do not wish to be renewed. I would therefore ask you to cancel my subscription immediately and refund the corresponding amount.
I am currently residing in Saint-Genis-les-Ollières, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. According to the French law Châtel, I have the right to cancel the subscription at any time, even if I was not notified of the renewal. The relevant articles of the French law Châtel are as follows:
- Article L215-1: “For distance contracts for goods or services concluded for a fixed period with an automatic renewal clause, the professional service provider must inform the consumer in writing, by post or electronically, at least one month before the end of the notice period, of the date of automatic renewal of the contract and the conditions for termination.”
- Article L215-2: “If the professional does not comply with this obligation to inform, the consumer may terminate the contract at any time from the date of automatic renewal.”
