I do need this fixed. This is my last email. I do really need to call the client to let them know.
I need to go for a new developer / approach or you need to let me know if the above will be fixed. I do not think my final list here is unreasonable.
Also this is presuming email checkboxes are also working. I have not had time to test.

Administrator role is applied to all packages and admin and editors roles cannot view files on the front end once they packages are applied to users or groups. We used to be able to add roles. Now we can’t

The roles not working has really confused the client.

1. It is not easily possible for admin to upload and manage the site without being able to view all uploads as the administrator and editor on the front end.
2. On top of this we cannot seem to add category descriptions
3. There is no ability to add something simple like category titles within the category loop.
It is so restrictive. So many rules on what they can and cannot do. They are really fed up and want to switch to another system.
4. Also I have still to update the membership area so we can disable the emails in the membership plugin. I am so reluctant to update as every update so far has broken something else.

What is problem with tinymce button? Selecting template everytime is not anything unusual, The default plugin does nothing with tinymce button.

Yes, that’s correct.
Defaults set in the defaults plugin do not work with other plugins.
If you are adding ten packages a day with 5 shortcodes per package ( ever day ) with a bespoke template at the very bottom of the list it is a problem.
I bought a defaults plugin which said it would set my default template. It does not do that with your tinymce plugin.
If I buy plugins from the same developer, I expect they would be compatible and I do think my expectation is normal.

NO matter what we do, no user can login on the front end.
We get the membership levels ‘you need to register’
All packages are applied to group and administrator
OR single member and administrator.
That is allowed.

Ok, so yet another wasted evening of mine. The 500 error was caused by the client adding a package within itself which does not make sense. So that threw a not very useful error message of 500. Ideally it should warn the client, ‘you can’t add a package within itself.’
Because nothing has been working properly from day 1 and the method of adding permissions has changed every time I return the site to them. They are quite undesrtandably really confused and fed up.
PROBLEMS STILL
1. admin ( and editor ) can no longer access files unless they are in the group allocated to the files… this does not make sense and is not practical.
admin and editors should see everything if they are allocated to a package. Above a membership level.
2. emails sending even if they are disabled in the membership pro package. They currently cannot add any users because they can’t possibly send access when the site is still incomplete.
3. category description not working with tinymce since upgrade.
4. tiny mce insert category working so badly with so many bugs that we can’t use it. We are stuck with insert link only.

You sent file updates for the email editor which I have not uploaded yet. I just tried re-installing tinymce still 500 error.
If I disable a package which has packages via shortcode. The 500 error disappears. I can’t see any problems with the way the packages are set up. Problem only exists where I have added download manager. All the rest of the site pages are ok.

Site down and I have not changed anything.. can you please get back to me.. I really hope someone is still around!

We have a sudden 500 error on the site. Can you confirm you are not updating our site with an old login. I deliberately locked everyone out and didn’t give permission to change the live site. The client is uploading content and every update we make inevitably breaks something else, it needs thorough testing by me first.
The template editor seems to be working now. I don’t understand how. I didn’t give anyone permission to access, no-one should be changing my files without my permission.

However My priority is making sure that emails do not send from the membership plugin.
The checkboxes to disable do not work.
Does that make sense?

Membership levels
We want to disable all membership levels emails (the email templates don’t allow us to edit anyway)
With the wordpress box checked or unchecked in the screenshot, emails still send to users.
Also the box is unchecked at the bottom of the individual user section.
We want to send emails manually while editing a user. Not automatically every time we add a user to membership level.
( we are adding users to a level via the user edit page, the send to user box is also unchecked there . So emails should not be sending unless we ask them to)

Membership levels, all emails are disabled but they are still sending.
My client is stuck and can’t add users at the moment because when they edit a usto allocate / add a membership level it sends an email to the user. They are not ready to do this.
They want to do this manually once all courses are created.

1. emails send even if checkboxes for sending emails are de-activated.
2. even If I decided to use the email templates>
When I try to edit. Templates do not exist message when I click the template link.
I can’t find any documentation on where /how they are supposed to go.
