That worked. Thank you for all your help and speedy response.
I have cloned the MP3 Preview link template and added the the thumbnail short code but now I’m just getting the title displaying in the spot were the featured image is suppose to go.
Here is my cloned code:
<div class=”w3eden”>
<div class=”media thumbnail”>
<div class=”pull-left”>
[thumb_64x64]
</div>
<div class=”media-body”>
<h4 class=”media-heading”>[page_link]</h4>
[audio_player_single]
<div class=”btn-small” style=”padding-left: 0px;”>
<i style=”margin: 2px 0 0 0px;opacity:0.5″ class=”icon icon-th-large”></i> [file_size] <i style=”margin: 2px 0 0 5px;opacity:0.5″ class=”icon icon-download-alt”></i> [download_count] downloads
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Long story short we duplicated production as best as possible in a vm and disabled every plugin on the site and worked our way backwards. There was some type of conflict between “The Events Calendar” version 2.0.11 and WPDM. We upgraded that plugin to the latest version and everything is working now. Thanks for all your help and quick response.
Upon further research we have confirmed that the files are actually uploading to a folder called “download manager files” and that postmeta tables are being updated but for some reason after attaching a file and hitting update the previously attached file is no longer displayed on the page and the package size is zero. Listed below or some of the plugins we have installed alongside WPDM and it’s add-ons, can you see anything that might cause a problem or any other things we can check? Thank you for your help.

If the plugin was throwing errors where would I look on the server side for these errors. We are running apache2 and I’m tailing the log files but I don’t see anything related to the plugin. Also when a file is attached to a package were does the plugin save the attached files? Does it save it to the same location as the other media files or somewhere in the plugin directory? Thanks.
We can’t do an install of the site accessible to the internet but what I will do is duplicate the production site local (dev). I will first upgrade from version 3.8 to 4 WPDM to see if I get the same problems. If I can reproduce the problem I will then try to upgrade to WordPress 3.9.1 to see if that fixes the issue. Let me know what you think and if you have any other ideas let me know please. Thank you.
I changed to the default theme of Twenty Twelve and no luck, I was still unable to attach files to packages. What versions of WordPress should we have to use v4 of WPDM? We are running 3.8 and an upgrade from v3 of WPDM. Thanks.
I deactivated all other plugins accept the Download Manager and I still have the same out come. Do you think I should uninstall the plugin altogether and try a reinstall or will that mess up the configurations even more with the packages and categories? I have attached some screen shots so you can have a better idea of the problem. Thanks.
Any update on how we could possibly resolve this issue. I can take some screen shots of before and after I try to attach a file to a package if that will help. Also I have tried deactivating and activating the plugin and related plugins, migrate tool and directory add-on, but with the same result. This is a multisite and I have activated the plugin per site and not network wide as instructed. Thanks.
This is a intranet site so you can only access it through our network. Sorry is there any other way?
I fixed this issue by adding a dummy category and after the update the other categories showed up. Thanks.
Sorry here is the other pic.
Thanks for the fast response. Where can I locate my license key and do I really need it to use the plugin?
After upgrading from 3.3.8 to the latest version I noticed that under downloads->categories, the categories don’t have an embed_code column any more. The column is replaced by Description which is empty. I need the embed_codes for other pages of my site. Did I do something wrong in the upgrade or is this the new way Download Manger works?
I can’t find this tool either. Can you please point me in the right direction on how to download this tool. I had v3.3.8 so I need to migrate all my packages. Thanks.
