Hi there, I really like the plugin. I would have installed PRO but management won’t do it… sorry. I’ve recommended it many times.
Anyways, here I am trying to do the best with what I have.
I got the extended short-codes and the tiny MCE btn for the free WPDM plugin. However the Extended short-codes add-on won’t install. And the Tiny MCE btn doesn’t work.
Error I see when I try to activate Extended Shortcodes Add-on:

Plugin could not be activated …fatal error:

I looked at my Download Manager Plugin Version 4.0.6 and the folder structure is different from what you can download from this site.
I don’t have an assets folder.
We’ve had this plugin for 4 years now, I don’t want to wreck the site by fixing the problem in an amateur way.
It’s my belief that if I fix the plugin and add the assets folder I’ll be able to use the extended shortcodes and tiny mce button.

I don’t want to loose any uploaded downloadable files, icons, link templates or page templates. Can you please advise me as to what the best course of action is?
Should I deactivate and reactivate the WPDM plugin?
Should I FTP in the missing asset folder?
Should I FTP in the entire plugin folder without messing with the template file somehow?
Any help is much appreciated.
