G’day mates,
I’ve the problem that all my files with special chars in the filename (such as öäüÖÄÜß) uploaded via wdpm to the server are renamed to something else.

For example:
Sorucefile: äüöß.txt
Destination on the Server: äüöß.txt

But, if i transfer the file with scp (windows –> CentOS) everything is ok.
Locale: de.UTF-8

So it seems to be a problem with the modul?

Any idea?

thx.

I have the same problem. I cannot run linux in this case – poor me – I have to use xampp. Encoding of php an filsystem encoding of windows dont seem to work good together.

Would be good, if sanitizing of filenames would be implemented in wpdm. We are using wpdm pro version.

WPDM doesn’t interfere with filename except you check this option Sanitize Filename in wpdm settings, however, special chars in filename may look different due to char encoding support of your server and mysql database.
