After selecting a directory from which to Bulk Import, it would be very useful to have an option (checkbox) to “Create a package from each 1st-level sub-directory.
Packages’ titles could use sub-directory names by default; and ideally, each 1st-level sub-directory could have sub-directories of their own, which should be recursed, and copied, with all docs added, in the same way that “Attach Dir” currently works on the Create/Edit Package admin page.
example:
/mynewpackages/ <— set this dir as the import dir
/mynewpackages/package1/ <– files and sub-directories imported into “package1”
/mynewpackages/package1/pdfs/sample1.pdf
/mynewpackages/package1/docs/sample1.doc
/mynewpackages/package2/ <– files and sub-directories imported into “package2”
/mynewpackages/package2/pdfs/sample2.pdf
/mynewpackages/package2/docs/sample2.doc
